I am getting my ears pierced tomorrow!!

Girly day out planned tomorrow...Shopping, lunch and then the theatre to see Miss Saigon

Remember getting my ears pearced when I was 7 - it was horrible!! Maybe it won't be so bad for adults......

Kaylee I have had mine done 4 times in each ear...it doesnt hurt that much

It will hurt like mad for a few seconds (but only a few I promise) and then there will be no pain at all

Which has to be better than an annoying ache for hours doesn't it??

What's made you decide to do it now if you've never had it done before?

Oh, I forgot to ask...are you having them peirced as in at a tattoo / piercing studio, as if so they use a needle and this really really doesn't hurt at all. Much less painful than when they use the peircing gun (and even that doesn't really hurt). I thoroughly recommend!

I had my ears pierced when I was little (so long ago I can't remember how old I was) then I got the mumps and had to have them taken out

I have been thinking about getting them done again for the past couple of months, and tomorrows the day!!

I am quite scared really I will give you an update tomorrow!

You'll be fine my DD's were 4 & 6 they flinched when the lady done it,they did let her carry on and do the other ear and there were no tears.
Mind you my neice was 8 they did one ear and she would'nt let them do the other

I found that looking after them after you've had them done is the worst bit,the first 6 weeks when you have to clean them and turn them twice a day so that they dont go all gungy

I think I am the only girl in Essex who hasnt had her ears pierced. Im a huge coward!! Its not so much the piercing bit, but I would be constantly terrified they would get pulled out and rip my ear...just could never face having it done. I will let my DD do it if she wants when she is older, but I reckon she takes after me, as every scratch she gets needs X rays, doctors and a 5 metre bandage (according to her!). Cant see herself volunteering for "pain" anytime soon!!

i was a teenager in the 90's and had lots of holes done in my ears, everytime we went on holiday i came back to meet my parents with a new set of holes (all but 1 set closed up now). i even returned home after a shopping trip with my nose peirced on two seperate occasions (also closed up). i had my first set done when i was four because i went on and on so much and my mam gave in (i wouldnt let my kids have it done yet at 9 and 5). dont worry it doesnt hurt but be sure to get some antiseptic stuff and use it. i had my belly button done a few years ago and that hurt even less. its so quick. the pain comes later turning them and cleaning them but its minimal. a slight sting is all you can expect.

It went OK

I was a little (OK a lot) nervous But there were two girls doing it - did both at the same time to prevent me doing a runner with only one ear done They don't hurt a bit, I have to turn them three times a day - so I have done that once today.

They look nice so I am pleased I have had it done
