I am furious!

I know I waited until the last minute here, but well I ordered some shorts for an upcoming trip (not much of a shorts wearer) but I wanted to have at least one pair in a quick drying material, with pockets. Since I was ordering shorts, I added in some clearance tshirts and stuff, but I plced the order for the SHORTS.


I placed the order on Sat, and added RUSH overnight shipping (which really takes 3 business days, 2 to process one to ship) which I had to pay an extra 27.95 for and then it arrived today RIGHT ON TIME with NO SHORTS! The only reason I paid for upgraded shipping was for those stupid shorts! I want my money back! They said no refund on rush shipping, no matter what. Thats not fair! I rushed for the shorts, there is a slip in the box that says "we will ship one item at a later date"

Thats the only itme I wanted. I think Im going to return everything, even though I want to keep it. Im just so upset. What is ALSO annoying is now a package is going to get left on my steps while I am on vacation!!!!!! It will sti there for a week, lets hope it doesnt rain.

Have you called them? I would talk to customer service and hope for the best. I'd use the "Can you please help me?" line. That's gotten results for me. :goodvibes

That's a HUGE bummer about paying that much for shipping and not getting the thing you wanted. :(
 
I'd call and express my disappointment (while holding back on the anger part - at least at first). Maybe they'll give you some kind of credit towards future purchases or a gift card.

Sorry about the shorts. I'd be disappointed, too.
 

oh and one more check to see if they can fedex it to your hotel. (FOR FREE FOR YOU!)

I've had to do this on several occasions, and I have come to learn people like being the hero. I only do it if I am desperate, but I just plead my case as sincerely as possible and put the ball in their court. I hope you can find some kind of resolve. In the meantime, if you can't get your shorts (very frustrating), have you considered board shorts? I am not a big shorts wearer either, but I have seen several styles (long and short) that might work. Also, an outdoor outfitter (:confused3) store like Cabela's or anyting that carries something like the "Columbia" brand might help (I know that's popular with the hikers here who play in the waterfalls). Its Lane Bryant, and I work in a call center, so I was VERY nice when I called. I explained that I needed them for this trip and that Im worried about a package sitting on my steps for a week while Im away and how I spent all the extra cash to get them here on time. The first person I spoke to was not at all helpful.

The second time I called I got a very nice guy who is "looking into the situation" and is going to call me back within 2 hours. He said hes going to see if it can arrive by tomorrow, but that its unlikely. :( He said htey may eb able to refund a portion of the shipping costs, 13 bucks since that was the "overnight" part.

I feel like sending back the whole darn shipment. But then I still lose the S&H.
 
Ok Im less furious, now just a tad upset. Im getting over it. Still havent heard back though.

Another question, can you wash a pair of pants & then return them? Reason i ask, I got some capri pants and I suspect these are going to shrink a lot, based on the material. If I wash em, can I bring em back?

Hoping I dont have to. But Ill be sad if I wash em & they no longer fit

I would consider excessive shrinking to be a defect, and yes, I would return them.

What are they made of? If you don't dry them, that might help minimize shrinking.
 
That is very frustrating. If they are out of stock, you're probably out of luck, but if they are not, hopefully they can overnight it to you. I 'rushed' a dress order once that I needed for a cruise and it arrived in the wrong size! The plastic bag had the right size number, but the dress was like 3 sizes smaller! I emailed them (Bloomingdales, I think it was) and they didn't think they could get me my dress in time, but low and behold, it showed up overnight on my doorstep! I hadn't even returned the other one yet, so I was very happy.
Good luck---I hope you can get your shorts in time for your trip. Is there a store you could go buy them at in the meantime?
