I am confused with Dreams Unlimited?

I just requested a quote for May 2004 on the 7 day Western and they gave me the same extact price quote that Disney gave me. I am not sure where the savings are??? I thought, they gave you additional credits but that seem to be the case in my quote. Did I do something wrong?

Dreams will quote you the same price as DCL. They often have either shipboard credits, rebates or both going on. That's where the savings come in. Also if you book now and DCL lowers their price Dreams will get you that lower price without you having to lift a finger.

They have rebates listed on their site now good for bookings made through 2/2/03 and sailing by 12/31/04 which I think you qualify for.

Cisco, did you look at the price INCLUDING the rebate? That should be shown in red on your quote. The base price of the cruise is the same as DCL but Dreams includes rebates that are deducted from your final payment. If all DU is doing now is quoting Disney prices, then I think it is different from when I booked with them. I thought they offered less expensive cruises. If that is not the case, I would be disappointed also.

I found that all travel agents will quote a price similar to what you find on the Disney Cruise Line website. The only difference is the 5%-10% commission on the sale. Travel agents with high volumes and low overhead can afford to "kick-back" some of their commission directly to you, reducing the overall price.

Disney prices are fixed, so the only thing you can negotiate is who gets to keep the commission.
