I am cancelling 2 rooms at ASMo w/ free dining

I guess I should have questioned what the weather was normally like. Although, with hurricane season, you just never know anyway!

You will love December!! I don't think you should second guess yourself with your decision!! We are going in September, but my DH says the heat does not really bother him and he didn't want to pass up the two of us being able to go for a little over $1,000. I said the same things you did! "But honey, it will be too hot!!" And he talked me in to keeping our reservation! Now that it is 2 months away I'm glad, but still a little nervous about the heat!!

But as I said in a previous post, hopefully getting up early and taking breaks will help!

Oh well, I was just too nervous. I shoulda waited though I think. I decided it and cancelled the next day. I should have thought it through. But whats done is done and we are spending Christmas in Disney for 11 days so I guess thats okay, right?

Nothing wrong with that! :) I just don't want anyone getting too worried - we can have great or bad weather here at anytime. I don't like venturing out as much this month, or August (though I do, and the nice thing is - the nights are longer - more daylight later). There are positive things about coming to Disney anytime during the year.

I cant second guess now.. its not worth it to go in Sept without the free dining. I do have a room booked at CR with the AAA rate right now for $259 (garden view I think was the only one available with my AP rate) It says on my ressie, Garden Wing, Garden View CB and says I need to bring my AAA card for check in. But I am trying to figure out what exactly garden view is. there is a water view thats $305 a night and with the 15% off deluxe AAA rate, that would be about $260. Is this what I have booked? But thats what I got for my 11/28-12/8 trip :) SO at least its some discount if there are no AP or general code discounts

That is great (I meant as far as larger discounts, they can be harder to come by in early December). I'm glad you got the AAA rate.

I haven't looked at the categories lately, but there should be standard, and then garden/water. Standard is parking lot. The other could be - well, garden or water. :) There is only one wing now, the other was demolished (and is being worked on).

Don't second guess - that is also a great time to be here. :) The Osborne Lights are wonderful, as is the Candlelight Processional. I highly recommend heading over to Fort Wilderness also, the campers really have wonderful displays! Christmastime is one of my favorites at Disney too!

But the late September/October time frame for me is perfect here overall. I love the weather once it gets to late September, starting fall season.

I love to hear a Floridian provide these comments! We have been in Dec the past few years and it can be very cold or somewhat warm. I went in early Sept last year and it was HOT! I was hoping that the chances of a slight cooldown would be good for our late Sept trip this year. Other than the (extreme) heat, I thought Sept was a perfect time to go!

Just an FYI for any one else up that way whose been considering cancelling because of the heat...the NY metropolitan area frequently gets hotter than Florida for some reason...and hotter than Atlanta as well. I don't think its cracked 100 since I've moved down here three years ago...NJ...it can be high 90's for days every year...occasionally 100 in some locations.

Thanks Doubletrouble - it's good to have someone validate my observation. I'm no expert in Florida weather, but I know we have some Horribly hot, humid, hazy, full of ozone days here. I'd rather be in florida on any of those days!
