called 7am this am!!! saved myself over $1000!!!
The only sad thing is I had to cancel my room at the All Star suites we are now booked for 2 rooms at POP. I asked for rooms in the 50s section in the lady and the tramp building I think I read some where that that was close to everything I hope that is true!!!

My dh will never yell at me again for my planning obsession because if it was not for these boards we would have never known!!!!! THANKS

Lady and Tramp section is very close to everything.. You did great..

We had connecting rooms there in January. It was great. We brought a monitor so we could close the connecting door at night. Nice to have adult time. The suites sound nice but with the free dining, you won't need the little kitchenette and you'll have real beds to sleep on.

We were in the juke box building of the 50s facing the pool which was nice because the pool is quieter than the groovy pool, good for sleeping and we were on the first floor so we stepped right out to walk to bus stops, hall, etc. [great with stroller]. My kids did prefer the groovy pool, but it is just around the corner. The quiet pool was nice for quick dips or when my bigger kids wanted to swim while little one napped I could sit outside the room and watch them and hear him.

70's is also close to classic hall and closer to the bus stops. But they don't have their own pool here. [Goofy's spray jets are near here and the groovy pool is just around the corner.]

Each of the buildings is shaped like a T so bear that in mind with my descriptions.
Look at a map here: http://www.wdisneyw.co.uk/popcmap.html

70s B is closest to hall and bus [the top of T or right side of T]. Then, 70s A courtyard view [top of T] . So if I wanted 70's I'd ask for courtyard view or facing Classic Hall [fyi, there's a giant fooz ball field in between the buildings].

For 50s, I would say Lady poolside [top of T] or facing the classic hall [left side of the T] are good; and Tramp or Juke Box facing pool [top of T].

You may get your request and you may not. But every location there has benefits [lake side is pretty and quiet, each of the decades has neat themes and features] And the walk around the whole place really isn't bad.

Have a great time!

Sounds like the Pop will be as busy as usual! Also booked this morning and asked for 50's section lady building non smoking.

We stayed in the tramp building in Jan. and loved it. Since it was just DH and I in Jan, the girls will get to see for themselves what they call the Playdoh hotel.

Can't wait!

Glad you got the free dining and saved all those $$$$$$
Sadly the New Family Suites At All Star Music are excluded from the free dining plan.

They are still a good choice at a resonableprice for families during a non promotion stay.
Here is a little info from my:

A little info:

New Family Suites at All Star Music Resort

Several rooms at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort are getting an extreme makeover. They are being restructured to house the new Disney’s All-Star Resort Family Suites, set to open June 4, 2006.

The new family suites will offer an affordable and convenient option for larger families with the amenities of a studio apartment.

Guests will enjoy the whimsical music-themed details, along with modest rates averaging $204, based on season. Most rooms sleep a family of six. There is a limited amount of rooms available.

Families can be together in the suite while enjoying separate sleeping areas with added privacy. Having two bathrooms will not only save time, but makes getting ready easier for the whole family. Plus, extra amenities like a microwave enable guests to prepare warm snacks and meals. With the extra room, guests can relax and recount the memories of the day before falling off to a goodnight’s sleep.

52 Family Suites located in the Jazz Inn building
(192 suites upon completion located in Calypso and Jazz Inn buildings)

-Sleep up to 6 (plus one child under age 3 in a Pak-n-Play crib)
-Studio amenities and separate sleeping areas giving more privacy than a standard room.
-Queen bed, full-size pullout sofa, convertible ottoman & chair sleepers (4 separate sleepers)
-Private master bedroom and family room have 27” flat CRT TV and high speed internet access.

We booked 2 rooms at Pop this morning also for Aug 15-20 wahoo!!!!! We stayed there in Jan 2005 and loved it. The adjoining rooms are the best-far better than 5 people crammed in one room! Plus you get that extra bathroom! Funny you say that the suite is not included in the promotion though, because I tried to book it last night and could get one night but the others were already booked. Oh well, I am happy to be staying at Pop!

My ta got it for me! Thanks to it, I was able to move to a deluxe (contemporary, never stayed in a deluxe before) and I also
PAID OFF MY VACATION!!
Plus its my sons 15th birthday:)

What a great day!!

Hey Disneynutbsv!! remember me? Now that you've moved to the Contemporary we're much closer!! And my DS is also 15. Maybe we can get them together (probably to commiserate about how embarrassing it is to have a Disney fanatic for a Mom!). We have ADR's FREE at CR for our first night dinner!! Stay in touch & I'M SOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!

Hey! LOL about the kids:) We are staying 8/27-9/3, we are eating at Chef Mickey's the first night (definately an old roll eyes from ds). Once they get there they will have a blast, they just like to make us suffer:) My ds is looking forward to Disneyquest, which I think we will do after our dinner at Chef Mickey's on 8/27. Yes, keep in touch:) I'm just glad its something I don't need to stress over anymore!! Now all I have to pay off is our liki tiki trip (8/25-27) and our rental car!
