And one for me. I need to change from maiden to married name, even though we got married in 2003! lol I usually travel in my maiden name, but thought it was about time I changed it!;)

I can't believe the prices!

Twins £46.50 each
My name change - £72.00
DD's £46.50 for renewl!
£211.00

DH worked out that is 52 Turkey legs $5.75 each in the Magic Kingdom! one of his favourites! ha ha ha ha ha :rotfl2:

We felt the same when we had to buy the 5 passports for us to travel.
On the positive side its a good excuse to return to wdw as we need to get our moneys worth out of passports ;)

i renewed my passport last year and it was £72 and then got married in sept! I am now going away this aug and have to change my name on it so will be anohter 72.

£72 for a 1 year passport in my case very expensive

I hate that a childs passport works out more expensive than an adults passport. It used to be free to renew a childs passport after 5 years untill you got the 10 years out of it!

out of curousity,what age does a child,get a 10 year passport?
our grandaughters, runs out next year & she will be 9,her 10th birthday, will be the month after,it needs renewing.
thanks

16 (but you can continue to use one until it's expired over this age - DS was 17 when he needed a new passport so he has an adult one, DD was 14 so she has a child one valid until she's 19.)

I am in the process of renewing ours - daylight robbery!

We need to go down to the US Embassy to get our DD's passports renewed. So not only do we have to pay a small fortune for the passports we also have to pay all the travel expenses etc.! :scared1:

Ouch Sarah :headache:,that is alot of money.Mine+hubby's are ok till 2013,but we had to get Dd7's renewed as it run out last month :headache:,and Dd4 has never had one.
(thanks for the pm ,will reply soon).x.

I too had to replace my daughters' passports and, like you, I have twins. Mine are identical twins and I saved myself a couple of quid by only getting one photograph done of one of the girls and sending it off for both.
A friend of mine who has identical triplets does the same. :woohoo:

I got married last summer and was horrified how much I spent changing my name! At one point I did consider just keeping my maiden name, but I knew that would upset the hubby.

Brilliant!
I will pass that knowledge onto my twin mum friends tomorrow and twin club!
I have a girl and boy pair, so can't get away with it!

Got any tips for twin travel?

I hold an Australian passport and got married in the UK in 2003. My passport was due to be renewed a couple of years later so I thought I would wait so I didn't have to pay to change my name. When I went to the Australian embassy in London I was told that I would have to send my UK marriage certificate to Melbourne so they could verify it's authenticity (I am not kidding) and they would then return it so I could renew in my married name.
We were due to go on holiday and couln't wait for the whole process so 5.5 years later I am still travelling on my maiden name. I suppose I will just try again in 2015 when it is due again!!!!!:rotfl2:

Our younger daughters is up next year. So will have to buy a new one.
We renewed our other's daughters last year,we paid £5.95 for a passport photo at Max Spielman...ridiculous.:sad2:
