after a very much needed break from it! I started scrapping once again as I realized I really enjoy it and now that I am no longer working, I have more time to dedicate to it! :)

I started off really good too...DH bought me a Sizzix, the converter and the Sizzlits Classic Alphabet along with a Large Sizzix Die, small Sizzix Die and some embossing dies. :) I am really excited too because I have wanted one for a long time! It is an early Christmas present! ;)

Anyway, I decided to start out with my daughters Kindergarten class. I took pictures of all of them, candid shots of them playing or doing work and then made them all black and white. I did a two page layout of it and gave it to the teacher. She loved it! :) I wish I had taken a picture of it though first! I am sure she will have displayed somewhere in the classroom though, so maybe I can get one this week and post it. It came out really nice! :)

So, I look forward to joining in your discussions once again as I get to know my Sizzix! LOL I am not even sure how to work this thing yet!!
:)

So glad you decided to join us again.

Once you get the hang of your Sizzix you are going to love it.

yeah! Glad you are going to play along again! I am trying to get back into regular scrapping also! Sure is hard this time around! But I am so behind!

Oh did you buy any chalks? As soon as I started using chalk I fell inlove with my quikutz (similar to a sizzix!) But it allows you to add so much creativity to you dies!

Sometimes a break is exactly what you need to get those creative juices flowing again!! :)

I just started scrapping our trip from last week and already have 10 pages done. I'm on a roll and having so much fun!! :teeth:

Tricia, I am jealous! I have the Sizzix, converter, and a set of Sizzlits on my Christmas list (along with an iPod!). Don't the Sizzlits come in their own storage case? I am doing a little bit here and there.

Spinning...I haven't got any chalks yet. What are they? Sounds interesting! I meant to say that those large and small dies I got are squares, by the way! Seem to have forgot to type that in! LOL

There are so many dies to use with Sizzix, I am so impressed! Next trip to Michaels, which will be on Tuesday, I am going to get some Christmas ones! I really love the tree and the Christmas Bulb! My next big purchase will be the Lollipop Alphabet, those are cool! :)

Michelle...I started talking to DH the other day about Sizzix and kept talking, so he asked what it was. I showed him and he ordered it. I was thinking I neeed to do that more often! ;) :p

Do you guys have any recommendations for an eyelet kit? I need everything, the hammer, eyelets, ect. I really love how eyelets work and I bought some Disney ones last time I was there of Mickey's head that I want to use. Any ideas?

Thanks so much!! It is great to be back here again! :)

Beanie, welcome back to scrapbooking!

I have made a few 8 1/2" x 11" albums as gifts. Before I give them, I scan copies of each page, so I have a copy of what I did. Maybe theteacher will let you "borrow" her pages so you can copy them.

Have fun scrapping!

Beanie, I just wanted to say be careful when you hammer those Mickey eyelets. They chip *really* easily. The only way I kept them from chipping was to place a soft cloth over them before hammering, and then hit them as gently and as little as possible. A lot of people seem to have had this same problem with them. :(

Thanks for the tip, Amy! I wouldn't have realized that and just started hammering away! Great idea about the cloth towel! Thanks so much! :)

Welcome back Beanie,

Since I have left the rewards board, I haven't heard much from ya. Hopefully, I'll be talking with ya here.

I love the eyelets. I have everything...the hammer, hole maker, setter and a hole punch. I got the 1/8" one and it is quicker to punch the holes than to hammer them.

BTW, we are going to WDW in early March. Any trips planned for your family???

Hey WDWMom!

When are you going in March?? I have a voucher that expires in March and need to use it by then! I would love to meet up again somewhere on boardwalk and have dinner! It was so much fun last time! :)

We usually go in December, but this year, we decided not to since I don't want to take the kids out of school, but I think by March I will be ready to get out of here! LOL Let me know your dates, we are pretty much open on when we can go! :)

Beanie,

We will be there March 3-11. ShelbyJosh will be there also. Not sure on their extact date though. We fly in mid-day on the 3rd which is DS's 10 birthday. Would not have planned it that day, but was the best price we could get. We have no major plans yet. Probably one day in the WDW parks and DH wants to go to SW or Universal for one day. Then probably plenty of pool hopping and water parks.

Let me know if you can work it out. We always feel the need to get out of the cold midwest in March. Winter is way too long here.

That's funny because just last night DH and I were talking about going the first week in March!! What are the odds? LOL If we go that week, it would be March 6-10. The kids have that Monday off, so they would only miss 3 days of school! I am sure by then I will need a vacation! LOL

I will keep you updated on that! I hope it works out, we had a lot of fun with you guys last time! :)
