I am a nervous wreck...

Geoff has his Eagle project on Saturday.. the weather is supposed to be 30 degrees ( BRRRRRR) and it is outside all day at the nature center.( at least we won't worry about the ticks) . plus I keep reminding him to make a list of all the things he needs ... like plates, napkins, donuts, pizza , hot chocolate, table, chairs etc.. but he isn't listening and keeps saying that this is HIS Eagle project..



How do I make sure that he has his plans all laid out and assigned and not interfere... without driving me nuts??

Ahhh...geffric, in my eyes I would say he is so looking good to reach the rank of EAGLE. The Eagle project is for Geoff to show leadership and organization and to remember that this certainly is HIS project!!!

Stop all your worrying. He has it under control I am so sure of it.

Psst: I am the Mom of TWO Eagle Scouts. And I am so PROUD of my DS' accomplishments!!!

He is so busy with "other things" he isn't focused.. IMHO.. he is the OA cermonies chef, so he is having a meeting for that for spring camperee tomorrow and he wanted to go to the movies with friends.. but HE HAs HIS EAGLE Project.. so I am having a hard time with him trying to burn the candle at both ends..

You know what - he probably IS listening to you -- you just don't know it!

Teens have an uncanny ability to appear to be shrugging you off and not paying attention while, in fact, they really are absorbing everything you said.

I bet he will do a great job with organizing all of the details of his Eagle Scout project!

(Seems like just yesterday that the boys were preparing to go to the '05 Jamboree, doesn't it?)

My son is also on his OA Lodge's Ceremonies Team (he's Kichkinet - I think I spelled that wrong!) He just finished up his term as Lodge Chief and made Vigil Honor.

Congrats to Geoff! What project is he doing at the Nature Center?

Hi Pam.. great to see you ..

Geoff is making a trail.. he is building the sign posts, putting the trail guide on the sign posts, and makers for the trail, cutting the weeds, trees, grass, filling in the ruts, for the new trail. Plus he has measured the distance for each existing trail and is redoing the whole trail guide for the nature center and welcome brouchure.

that s a lot for him to do..

Friday night he is getting the dirt and gravel donated and dropped off, with a few scouts and the local landscaper , he is digging the hole for the sign posts and constructing the sign posts .. then Saturday he and many of the troop and friends will build the trail.. I hope it warms up a bit..

Thanks for the congrats on the Vigil Honor! We're pretty proud of DS! He is also now the Asst. Junior Scoutmaster of the Troop.

Congrats on your son's Eagle project. Try to take a deep breathe and let HIM take care of things. I'm sure he knows that you are there for whatever he needs.

Leave him alone and let HIM do it. If he deserves eagle scout , then he should be asking you to let him do it himself!
