I always get horrible blisters no matter what I do .... any tips?

I've always had a problem with blisters developing under the callous of my ring toes. This has been going on for a long time (three trips to WDW a year) and by the end of the trip I am limping and in pain.

I have tried spray deoderants, band-aids before blisters and mole skin. Never had any success avoiding the blisters. Also tried popping the blister and cutting the skin out- really not a good idea.

The last trip was the first time in many years that I did not get a blister on either toe.

I wear SAS (leather)and New Balance (tenner type) walkers. I would not say one is better than the other. I alternate them daily. I also alternate synthetic socks and cotton ones.

DW also gave me Shea Butter to use. I really think it prevented the blisters. I simply rubbed it into the toes each morning and each evening. It comes in a light blue tube and says "Shea It Isn't So" and is sold at Bath and Body Works. For me, it's well worth the time and money.
