I love Brazil nuts. I don't know why, but at this time of the year, I really love Brazil nuts (I guess I go nuts at this time of the year:crazy:;)). My easy way to get all the Brazil nut out of it's shell is to boil them in water with a touch of canola oil to loosen up the shell. I went to wrap a couple of presents and kinda forgot about the nuts. I started smelling something, and remembered them.:p They nuts are fine, but I couldn't place the scent. Then it hit.:p They smell like that smoke smell they have at the top of Spaceship Earth. My dd told me her brother told her he smelled Spaceship Earth when I was wrapping presents, so I guess it's not just me.:p

I know, long post.

So, all I need to do is to scorch some Brazil nuts???? I can do that, I'm good at scorching things ;)

Atleast get the shells a bit too hot, Katholyn.:p I boiled about 20 of them and deshelled them so I can snack on them tomorrow. My hands still smell like Spaceship Earth.:p

What a great scent to recreate. I'll think of you next week-end on Spaceship Earth! :wave2:

Browneyes, I really like your tag line.

Thanks Pooh.:) I just love the peacefulness of that ride. Are you taking your granddaughter with you next week?:)

I agree with you about the peacefullness of the ride. It is so relaxing.

Yes! DH & I are taking "Princess Em" with us. She is now 11 y/o!! We are just taking her - this will probably be the last trip without her little brother (22months) and baby sister (6 months)!! This is my vacation too - I am the nanny for the little ones and her when she is out of school!!

We figured she would enjoy having us to herself at least one more trip! It is such fun to share the magic with her and soon with the others.

Hope you had a great day!

I remember your trip with Princess Em last year around Halloween.:) You and your dh are excellent grandparents, Pooh.::yes::

Thanks ! :D We love being grandparents. If the g'kids aren't spoiled - we aren't doing our job! :hyper:

Our 2 favorite times to go to WDW is Halloween & Christmas. We didn't go for Halloween this year - too much going on thanks to Hurricane Ivan!

Halloween is fun - all of us dress in costume!

That's neat, browneyes. They say that smell is very strong evoker of memories. When I descend the stairs at the high school where our community band rehearses, it smells dank (they've had flooding) and reminds me of the musty smell in Pirates of the Caribbean.

Some accidents were just meant to happen, Shannon. :)

I think that is so neat!! ::yes:: Send of that scent out west, will ya? ;)

I gotta go get me some Brazil nuts and scorch 'em now. :p

doesnt it stink up at the top of spaceship earth

Like I said, Pooh, you and your dh are great grandparents.:)

Karen, I agree. Most of my memory triggers stem from scents.:) Some good, some not so good. I like the good memory scent triggers.:) LOL! Now I'm wanting to find a scent that reminds me of the PotC ride.:p

Mae, accidents happen frequently around me.;) Enjoy your scorched nut smell (I know I did:p ).

Jason, try to be a little whimisical for me.:p

Twinnie, I never knew my favorite nut grew like that. That pic kinda reminds me of a cow pie. Thanks.;)

well, it's not every day ya getta good look inside your brain ;)

speaking of cowpies... being well-acquainted with 'em, I don't quite see the resemblance between cowpatties and your brains, but if you say so... ;)

and speaking of cowpies and brains... The Brain is even more intimately acquainted with cowflops, and can and will attest to how wonderful the warm ones feel on bare footsies and how many endless hours of entertainment can be had by shootin' 'em with BB guns and sprayin' your cousins...

and then there's that cowpie my brother gave my gamblin' granny for Christmas... (so if you ever think MY gifts "questionable," I recommend bein' thankful they're not worse than they could be... :smooth: ;))

a wish in the right, i.e. wrong hands is dangerous, a wish left in the left hands is...................interesting

which is preferable - right/wrong hands or left hands - kinda depends on your perspective

and "dangerous" is not necessarily more so than "interesting"

a wish is a dream your twin makes
when you least expect
and wishes you wish you'd not wished
someday you may wish to regret...
 :smooth: ;)

MJ, we need to market that scent. Tell Simba and Cali I said hello.:wave2:

Twinnie, I know you know about me and leftiedness. So, I'd have to choose interesting over dangerous.:p

she chose [interesting]!
she chose [interesting]?! :earseek:
wait, was that wrong? :scared:
too late now!!
:smooth:

(have you seen Labyrinth?? no? that's what I thought ;))
