Almost totally unrelated:

I know there is significant work on I-75 at/near the KY/TN border, with the southbound lanes being closed for several miles. How much of a delay is there with getting off/back on the interstate?

Also, gas in my little city is sitting right around $3.40 / gall, and the bigger city up the interstate is more like $3.50. What is gas like *right now* in TN, GA, FL right around I-75?

We leave next Monday, so I think it's safe timing on these items, knowing that gas can go up at any time...

I'm going to move this from the Universal Studios board to the transportation board to see if someone can help.

gasbuddy.com will help you. Just use route planner and it will tell you where to stop for gas.

Gas last night at I75 exit 228 (Stockbridge Ga just south of Atlanta) was 3.27 for regular. We filled up at the Hess by Hollywood Studios in WDW yesterday morning for 3.33 for regular.

i went thru that section coming back from tn to northern Il about 16 days ago.

that delay due to construction added another 45 minutes to our drive for I 75.

went thru on a weekend which probably added to the time involved.

Macon and Warner Robins tend to have the cheapest gas on I-75. They are both in central Georgia. The Macon stop is actually on 475, which is the Macon bypass. Exit 3 has a Raceway and a Murphy/Walmart station. On Thursday it was 3.18 a gallon. Warner Robins exit 146 on 75 has a Pilot on one side and a Flash Foods on the other that compete on price. It was 3.19 on both sides Thursday.

Hope everyone took a moment on Memorial Day to remember those that have fallen in the service of our country. Every year on this day I like to take a minute and listen to Taps. Now I use YouTube for that. It is played on military posts when the flag is retired each day. Always made me stop and think when I heard it in the Army.

Gas was $3.44 today from some of my people coming back from that area today.

I am glad I miss the Jelico mess as I take I-65 to 24 to Chattown.

Close to the GA/SC border, there are some places in SC with regular around $3.07 - $3.10 per gallon.

Gas in Knoxville TN (I-75) is around 3.30$ as of this week.

Thanks all! It looks like gas is consistent or slightly lower the farther south we go, so that's awesome. And we'll be crossing the KY/TN border in the late morning on a Monday. I'm hoping traffic is lighter then.
