Ok. I leave tomorrow driving from detroit to orlando. Any bad traffic construction that I should be worried about??

Thanks in advance

Keep an eye out for construction between mile markers 58 and 68 in Kentucky. I'm not positive but I think they're doing a long-awaited widening from 2 to 3 lanes in this stretch (it could be just resurfacing but it's kind of late in the year to start that). At times, they are closing one of the 2 existing lanes for this construction. This might only be at night when they're closing lanes. If you want to avoid it, you can get on Hwy. 25 at Exit 76 (Berea) and take it south to Exit 59 or Exit 42. Hwy. 25 runs parallel to 75 and there are several spots to see how things are moving on 75 before deciding whether to get back on at Exit 59 or 42. Hwy. 25 is not a super straight highway, but it is somewhat scenic and at least it moves, unlike some reports of that stretch on I-75.

Downtown Cinci has some pretty bad construction. I think it's focused on the 4-8 mile markers.

Alternate routes are 275 (either west all the way around Cincy to I75 in Kentucky or east to I71.

I wouldn't worry about that stretch, unless you hit it during rush hour.

It's slower than 55, but you'll still be moving. Speed limit there is 45 MPH, and during non-rush hour, you won't go much below that...if at all.

I75 down to 2 lanes from toledo to Findlay and again around Lima and again in dayton cinncinati and Lexington .....most trouble was in Lexington area ..IMO

I'm reviving this because I wanted to post an update on that MM 58-68 stretch of I-75 in Kentucky. It looks like I was wrong about Kentucky widening this stretch from 2 to 3 lanes, and it looks like it was indeed just a resurfacing (too much wishful thinking on my part). Anyway, even though there are construction signs still up during parts of this stretch, I haven't seen any lane closures on this stretch for a few weeks now, and I've driven it several times each way during the last few weeks. Traffic, as a result, is flowing much better on this stretch now than it was for parts of October.
