I-75: Any construction I should know about?

We are heading down in 17 days  from Michigan. I thought that I would check in with my DIS travel experts to see if there is any major contruction taking place on I-75 that would slow us down.

Thanks a lot! Safe journeys!

TN had the most. We we came home home on Moday (to Cincy) and the SB lane had about a 4 mile back-up. Down to one lane. It was in TN but don't remember exactly mile marker.

I live off of exit #13 in Michigan and there is a little bit of construction here -some down to one lane. Watch for cars coming onto the expressway.

There's plenty of delays going through Dayton, and then again in the Middletown OH area.

Just got back. Still down to 2 lanes in south Georgia (both directions). Speed limit drops as low as 50mph. We did not experience any delays, but all it takes is one accident in the construction zone and your goose is cooked!

Thank you for the update.

I can say that KY is clear for the most part. They are putting the finishing touches on the widening job between Lexington and Cincinnati, that is a huge improvement over the old setup. There is patchwork going on overnight through the Lexington area, that is nothing more than a tap of the brake. They are also finishing a reconstruction job in southern KY.

Dayton/Cincy seems to always be a mess.

I believe the southern GA construction zone is permanent as it has been in the same spot for years and it looks the same every October when we drive through it.

Last week my family and I decided to start driving down 1 day early and the 1st night we are staying in Lexington off exit 108, so at the end of July there should be no problems driving towards that exit and etc?

Exit 108 is Man O War and is clear. We have a huge horse event in the area in Sept and most of the work on the interstate is complete. There are several nice hotels, this is the upscale area of Lexington. Enjoy your overnight.

Thank you and we choose to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn off exit 108 and since we had just enough Hilton points we got that night for free.
