Then you end up with all kinds of problems. If your car is stolen, there is coverage for the CAR if there is any damage but if someone steals your car and wrecks another person's car, the thief is ultimately responsible but since a car thief probably doesn't have insurance, that other person's insurance kicks in. Now, if you use your OWN car and commit a crime while using your car, there is no coverage-say you rob a bank and you smash into another car in your getaway-you are out of luck with insurance coverage
