Hypothetical question

OK first I want to know if what I am talking about is possible, next I want to know if you think anyone would do this. Here it goes... I always book SV BWV studios we are very limited in points and they stretch the farthest for me. OK I do not particularly like BWV and a prefer to stay at SSR. 1) Could I possibly trade reservations with someone that likes BWV better and does not care about the point difference... 2) do you think anyone out there would be interested in that type of a trade. I hope I make sense!

You mean that you would book a week in a Standard View at BWV and you want an even trade for a week at SSR? Sure, you can do that. You would just change the name on your reservation at BWV to that of the other DVC member and they would make a reservation at SSR in your name.

I think you are more likely to find a taker on your trade if you book at a more popular time to be at BWV like the Food and Wine Festival or early December.

In trut, because SSR is a large resort, you should have no trouble simply booking there at 7 months (or less).

As far as even trading of reservations, it is possible...but I think for most folks the difference in the number of points required will matter.

I wonder...so many people say they want to book an Epcot resort at F&W, ( I would add December/Christmas), that I think people would be willing to do it.
BWV dues are more, something the OP's favor.

I think it's possible but not worth it for the minimal points savings. Too many risks and agravations to go through this for a savings of maybe 7-14 points on a full week in a studio. If you want to stretch your points there are better ways including points for weekdays with cash for weekends, looking at OKW, paying for a points transfer and possibly exchanging back in if you know anyone who's an II member. One word of warning, you won't be able to get a SV room on cash so you would have to change units or possibly even resorts. You could also rent out the BWV points and then rent an OKW or SSR unit cheaper.
