Completely hypothetical, but if I were to buy a completely stripped contract and there was no points available till 2019, could I borrow the 2019 points to use in 2018?

And possibly borrow the 2020 points in 2019?

Yes, into your 2018 use year dates (not calendar dates). All points use is by date of stay.
 
Yes. But hypothetically speaking you put yourself in a hole and limit your flexibility by consistently being in borrow mode.

Yes, into the 2018 UY which would run part of 2018 to 2019. Realize that stripped contracts always seem to bring less than the loss of value of the points in questions. Usually it's a poor choice to do so. Figure lost points at $15 a point roughly for current or future points, less for banked points.
