Family members (Aunt, cousin, whatever works here) are going to WDW for 10 days and need help. Their child has special needs and their caretaker can't come along. This is their vacation too though and invite you to come along as the primary caregiver. This will be a full time job for you but you won't have to spend a dime.

Do you go for the free Disney trip knowing you will not be able to do many of the things you enjoy?

most likely yes (assuming I felt I could do what was being asked of me) - though would view it more as helping the family out vs a free trip to Disney (although part of me would hope, as family, they would figure out how to let me sneak in one or two things I'd like to do)

I would also hope that as parents, they wouldn't abandon their child and expect the caregiver to take care of them 24/7 while they are off having fun.

yeah, I think that is partly what I was getting at two that even if I was denoted as the "primary care giver" it wouldn't be me watching the child 24/7 and totally up to me, but more that I was there to help out as needed and make the vacation more enjoyable to everyone

Most likely yes, as long as I feel that I'm qualified to handle the needs of the child and I have a good enough relationship with both the child and the parents.

This would be me as well. Couldn't pass up a free trip, but only if I felt I was qualified.

Probably, unless like Steve said I don't feel qualified to handle it. Also knowing it's there trip and I'm just there to help out I would want to try and make that child's experience the best I can.

This one is pretty situational. For example, it'd be much easier to say yes if I was retired as opposed to having a full-time job, family, and finite vacation time.

If all the conditions were ideal, I'd say yes.

I would do it but constantly be looking for the chance to run off for a few hours and do my thing. Even if I didn't get the chance, just the feeling of joy walking into MK would be worth it.

I would want too if I was able to do it, disney is great when your doing it for someone else and seeing it through their eyes (and sharing/teaching some of your favorite things that are appropriate). I would need a lot more information though to make a choice and know I could do it
