I have some chemical sensitivities to personal care products. For instance, I can only use one or two brands of deodorant and only a couple brands of toothpaste. If I use traditional products I develop an itchy rash where the product is applied. Of course, these products are quite expensive because they can only be purchased from a Whole Foods type "natural" store.
I have developed an itchiness on my torso in recent months. It's not quite a rash but my skin is slightly itchy and sensitive. I blame it on my detergent and/or body wash so I know I need to change both of them. I have been trying to find a good combination of laundry detergent and body wash but I continue to have the skin irritation. I am currently using All Free and Clear and Whole Foods Lavender Body Wash.
Can someone recommend a really good hypoallergenic brand for both laundry detergent and body wash? At this point, price isn't an object. I am used to spending $5 for deodorant and $7 toothpaste
. PS: I also use a really basic oatmeal bar soap from our local Farmer's market which seems to work OK, but I prefer a liquid soap for the shower.
