Anyone on here have hypervolemia (aka fluid overload).

There's a strong possibility that I have it. We are just waiting for more test to be ran.

I'm not seeking medical advice, between the two primary care specialist, endocrinologist, cardiologist, gastroenterologist, pulmonologist, and urologist I'm currently seeing, I have plenty of medical advice.

I am seeking life advice and experience from people who actually live with this condition.

I just want to know what I have to look forward to as far as treatments and quality of life.

My husband was diagnosed with it last year. He has a pacemaker/defibrilator and is continuously monitored by his doctor. They called last year because his numbers were high indicating fluid overload.
He eliminated salt in his diet and is limited to 64 ounces of liquid a day. He has to watch for swelling and rapid weight gain. His numbers have come down and he’s doing fine now.
Wishing you all the best!

Thank you for your response!

So no dialysis or any of that fun stuff?

No, not so far!
Awesome!

That is great to hear because if I require dialysis, I will lose my job 😞

I mean I know it's all different based on the individuals diagnosis but just knowing that there's a possibility to treat without dialysis keeps me hopeful!

Is your job something that you wouldn't be able to get something like dialysis, out of curiosity?

I hope you don't end up in a situation where tge treatment for you means job loss.

I'm a truck driver and regardless of the reason, being on dialysis disqualifies you from obtaining a DoT medical card and I cannot do my current job without that card.

Ah ok, understood. My husband's profession is strict about medical too.
