Hyperspace mountain

i have been to one at wdw and hated it cuz it was so jerky and bumpy. Is hyperspace like that?

Regular Space Mountain at DLR is VASTLY superior to the one at WDW, IMHO. At WDW, we were one and done, whereas we rode the one at DLR four or five times our last trip.

Im not a big roller coaster fan but I LOVE Space Mtn. Haven't been on it as hyper space Mtn but if its the same ride with different sights and such than it is definitely not bumpy. Matterhorn is bumpy, space is a great ride.

I think both version of Space (in MK and DL) have some amount of jerks just do to the nature of roller coasters (i.e., sudden turns and drops). I do think DL's Space/HyperSpace is less bumpy than MK's Space. Some of this, I think, is due to the seats. DL's seats are real seats (i.e., you bend you legs to sit on a "chair" in the ride car) opposed to MK's Space which you sit flat on the ride vehicle (like a sled). (Note: DL's version of the sled type seating is at the Matterhorn, which is a very bumpy attraction.)

I think the Disneyland Space Mountain is a lot smoother than the one at Walt Disney World. The track is smoother, as is the ride itself. I rode the one at Walt Disney World, and haven't been back on it, lol. (But then, I rarely go to the Magic Kingdom on the East Coast.)

I don't know about hyperspace but the regular version is night and day better than WDW's space mt. DL's had an almost 3 year refurbishment (it was already closed for awhile when I went in 2003 and didn't open until 2005)prior to DL's 50th birthday celebration and they pretty much replaced everything. It is much smoother and the effects are better. It was a long refurbishment but it was worth it IMO.
