I miss the original. Hyperspace is fine, but I’m actually bummed it’s still there next month when we go. I also really love GG a lot, which I know is an unpopular opinion on these boards. I like Star Wars fine, but it just kinda seems like a LOT of SW at once inside DL.

I had a decent time but I wasn't called :-(. It's open mic and names are chosen at random. But if you're not called, you're invited to get up and share the first line of your story at the end of the show, which I did. It was: "When you plan to speed your &%# off in a 12-cylinder Lamborghini, the absolute best way to do it is with an on-duty police officer in the seat next to you."

EDIT: P.S. The Moth allows anyone to pitch a two-minute version of their story on their site. I pitched this one about 12 days ago (in case I wasn't picked). If they're interested, they may use it on their radio show or ask the storyteller to come on stage at a bigger event.

Today was kind of weird so I plan to go to the park for the first sevveral hours of the morning tomorrow . It always restores my faith in humanity.

At the park now. Crowds were light for the first hour or so. This is TL at around 8:25.


My big victory of the morning is that I was able to score two of the limited-edition OBB pins for a friend. I was surprised they weren’t sold out and that they were available outside of the party! Great day so far. Full report later.
