Just booked the Hyatt for the night before our April cruise. It's been a couple of years since we've sailed and stayed there. Is the process the same for having them transfer luggage to the cruise? Last time they had us fill out a form at check in, we tagged our luggage and they turned it over to DCL for transfer to the ship. We just walked down to transportation and took the bus to the port.

I believe you now have to alert DCL and the Hyatt that you're going to be using the luggage transfer before you go. And I think it may have a cost now. Sorry, haven't used it for a while.

If you book through DCL both the Hyatt and port transfers, you have nothing to do. If you book directly with Hyatt, you must contact DCL and say that you are staying there. They might charge you 10$, something they do not do when you book everything through DCL.

Unlike before, DCL produces in advance a list of guests using the luggage handling and provides individual letters. Hyatt can’t edit the list.

I had to book our room through Hyatt since we’re staying 2 nights and you can only book 1 night through DCL for our upcoming cruise. I called up DCL and they noted it on the reservation. They did not indicate that there was a charge.

You used to be able to arrange everything at check-in at the Hyatt. They changed that sometime last year. Now DCL needs to be involved before you arrive at MCO.

We did this in October, there was no fee for the Hyatt luggage service regardless if you booked with DCL or Hyatt. We did notify DCL of our Hyatt stay in advance so the Hyatt was aware we were sailing with DCL and needed luggage pick-up. Still very easy.

Awesome! Thanks all! I'll let DCL know about our reservation and may check and see if booking through them might be cheaper and cancel our current reservation.

Went a head and booked through DCL, the rate was a tiny bit less expensive than the triple A rate we got on our own and our transfers are noted!

Thanks for your help everyone.
