Which hotel is preferrable to hang around in if we arrive Friday early afternoon?

We'll have 2 young kids (2 and 4) who will be want to go swimming at the pool. So, which has a better pool?

Thanks for any input.

The Radisson would be your better bet. You'll be so excited to be getting there, you'll want to get as close as possible on that day. And the Radisson has a great pool.

We're heading to the Radisson after our Friday afternoon arrival at MCO. I know of at least 7 other families that will be joining us at the Radisson the night before our cruise in August. We are having a small DISmeet gathering around the pool Friday evening as well. Can't wait to put names and faces together before the cruise!!!

I have stayed at both, and i like the Radisson much better. Plus getting to go to the Perfect Gift, and meeting other DIS members made our stay.

We just stayed at the Hyatt at the airport. It was fantastic! We stepped off the plane and checked into our room. There are 2 Disney World Stores in the airport as well as many other mall type stores. There's a Chili's resturant which gave us one last taste of Texas before heading on the cruise! Non-stop limo to the port left at 10am and arrived Port Canaveral at 10:45am.

Thanks for the replies!

Leaning towards the Radisson unless:

- Our group flies in separately, then the Hyatt would be convenient to meet up in.

- We decide to squeeze in a few days before at WDW to get our Disney fix. Oh, to be so close and not go! :(

prymsu,
What's the Perfect Gift?

Andy,
Your plans sound great.

To be honest, we aren't going on a Disney Cruise! :o Wish we were. Instead, we're meeting family members on an October sailing of the Zaandam. They got the Penthouse Suite, a full Suite, and an inside quad. So, to tag along, we got 4 inside doubles next to their quad. The 3rd and 4th pax rates were more than the 1st 2 - go figure! So, we're getting 2 cabins for less $$ than one quad.

Thought I would pick your brains, since we're leaving from the same port! Thanks.

Now to figure out how to get 5 adults and 4 kids to the port - car service or 2 car rentals? To complicate matters, 3 people from the group will be renting a car and leaving directly from the port to Miami after the cruise. Oh well, I have time to think it over...

The Perfect Gift is owned by DIS member Shirley Nelson. She is an unbelievably kind and caring person. Her business is just a couple miles from the Radisson, and so i have gone twice now to visit her before a cruise.

lots of DIS folks order cruise gifts and baskets from her business and have them delivered to their ship stateroom before sailing.
