Five of us are going on the Magic on May 3rd. My niece is not flying in until Saturday morning so she can attend her senior prom however the rest are coming in Friday. The cheapest rate I could find at the Hyatt Regency inside the airport is $149.95 before taxes! Is is really worth it not to have to drag my luggage to a hotel for one night or should I just stay at another hotel?

I'm not real familiar with the Orlando area so any hints would be helpful. We arrive 9:30pm Friday so this is really only a place to put our heads for one night!

My best buddy works for them, and so got the rooms for free.
Though it was quite a drive to wdw, the rooms were free.
However, we did have to pay $10 clams for parking.
You can not beat the convenience of the hyatt. You arrive, and go to get your luggage, and then the hyatt is right inside the airport terminal. I am not sure what level it is on, but you do take an escalator right up to the check-in desk. I had an early flight out back to texas at 6am. We rode the elevator down, checked out, and then walked 100 ft to the delta counter.
So as far as convenience, yes. If you can get a better rate on priceline for a hotel w/proximity to the airport, there are a few options. You can also look on expedia or travelocity, as well.
Usually those hotels close to the airport offer a free shuttle.
You will have to take the shuttle back to the airport if you need to rent a car.

Check biddingfortravel.com to learn about Priceline. Many people have recently received 3* hotels at the airport for as little as $27/night. One winning bid for the Hyatt was $31.

Remember, there are no guarantees which hotel you will get with Priceline. Read the FAQ section carefully before bidding.

Embassy Suites Orlando Airport is showing a rate of $80 that night thru expedia. You get a free cooked breakfast. might be worth the shuttle.

I just got Hyatt Orlando Airport for 52 dollars plus tax on hotwire. It was listed at 3 1/2 stars. I was pretty sure it was this hotel because it did not list a shuttle as an amenity. My flight gets in at 10pm --this will make life easy. Barb

I just checked out Hotwire and there is a 3-1/2 star with no shuttle - should I take a leap of faith and assume it is the Hyatt ? Do most of the hotels in Orlando offer shuttle service?

I was nervous but I took a gamble and it paid off- I guess sometimes you get lucky. Barb
