Hyatt Place Convention Center

We will be in California for Thanksgiving and would like to do DL for 2 before the holiday. I'm looking at the Hyatt Place (not Hyatt House) on Harbor Blvd between Katella and Dolphin Blvd. Has anyone walked from the hotel to and from the parks? Also can you enter the parks from the Harbor Blvd side or only on the Disneyland Drive side?

To answer your second question: yes, there is a Harbor entrance to the parks. You will go through security/bag check there before entering the esplanade and going to the gates of either DL or DCA. Be aware that the bag check on Harbor can back up at peak times, so allow some extra time in your schedule for that.

You can also walk across the street and take the Toy Story shuttle to save some walking.

I would recommend this. In particular at night when you are tired from walking all day.

I’ve stayed there but we weren’t doing DL at the time. No way would I want to do that walk to DL, definitely hop a toy story shuttle. I saw people walking it each morning- gosh did I feel sorry for them. Imho it’s possible yes, advisable no. Save your energy for the parks

My family stayed at this Hyatt recently. We took the Toy Story shuttle every time except for one night when the line for the Disney shuttle back to the lot was exceptionally long. I would definitely use the Toy Story shuttle. The hotel was fine as well. You have made a good choice for your hotel stay. I would stay there again.
