Is there any way to get a cheapish rate on this hotel? We are debating staying overnight in the airport before flying home, as the non stop flights home are very early in the day. I'm finding rates over $210 a night, which is more than we would be paying for our Disney room!

Any suggestions? Or is there another hotel right near the airport that would be cheaper but still save us tons of time in the morning?

Yes, lastminutetravel.com. Join the club. I used promo MAYNOJ for free membership. The room was $108.00 plus tax. Someone posted this info in the cruise forum a few weeks ago.

ive used aaa and got it for 170ish....
I think its worth it.......
have a great trip

Great! Thanks for that info! We did one night before our cruise two summers ago and I think we paid around $114, we loved it!

Curious? I was not able to get the Hyatt Airport on the website indicated above. Any update Op??

You have to join the club on last minute travel or it is possible the hotel is not available for the night you need.

Love that hotel!!!

Checking the Hyatt website, it looks like they still accept stay certificates at the choice level, so $153 a night plus $6 for fed ex express saver shipping.

the certificates include all taxes, too,.

good luck

Did you try Hotwire? 2 years ago you had to take a pick with what Hotwire could offer. The DIS members had "suggestions" to what to look for. They used to show you on a map where the hotel was. I got the room for $65. There are other hotel rooms around the airport and they will shuttle you in. I got this room at 2 weeks before our cruise. The closer you are to your date, the better the price.

I have stayed at the Hawthorn Suites at the Orlando airport and it was under $100 (a year and a half ago.) The room was huge - full kitchen, living room with TV, another TV in the bedroom, 2 queen beds. The bathroom was smallish, though. It was great, though, to take Disney transport out there in the evening when we were done on our last day and get a little more sleep before our very early flight.

I've always been intrigued by the thought of being able to stay right there on top of MCO. How convenient!
The last poster mentioned Hawthorne Suites~~we stayed there a few years back, and it was very convenient. We had 2 adults and our 4 kids, and were able to use just the one suite. We ended up staying there when we flew in (11pm at night landing), and again the night before our morning flight. There are so many hotels around the airport, you should not have any trouble finding a decent deal if the Hyatt does not work out.
