Hyatt Orlando Int. to Magical Express ??

We are landing at MCO the evening prior to the start of our Disney package and spending the evening at the Hyatt prior to taking the ME the following morning.

I have just learned that the Hyatt provides a service that will take our luggage from our hotel room down to Disney's ME and have it delivered to our Resort similar to if we would of landed and taken the ME the same day.

For those of you who have gone through this exact process how early did you head down to ME? We are 2 families with 4 kids on this trip and knowing that we can take advantage of EMH where MK opens at 8 am on our first day I'm questioning if heading down to ME for 7 am is to early? Anyone also know how early you can check-in to the hotel even though the room will most likely not be ready.

The ME runs 24 hours, just not the luggage pick-up part from Disney's perspective. Since you will have your luggage with you at the hotel, you can get on the ME at any time in the morning. If you want to be at MK for 8 am, you'll want to be on the ME by 5:30 am at the latest. It can be anywhere from 60-90 minutes before you get to the resort, and you also need to factor in dropping off your luggage and checking in before leaving to get to MK. We'll be doing the same thing this year.

Sixty-ninety minutes is the typical time between landing and resort arrival, not between the DME waiting area and WDW.

The OP should call Magical Express (not WDW reservations) and get timing advice from the knowledgeable Cast Members there. She also needs to allow transportation time between the resort and the theme park.

I asked the folks on the transportation board here about the timing just last week. The consensus was 60-90 minutes, depending on whether or not the bus is waiting for more people to arrive. You may wait on the bus for a while before departing the airport. Drive time to resorts is about 45 minutes, give or take 10-15 depending on how many stops the bus makes.
