Ayy one ever stay here and if so can you help with the following questions.
1. How were the rooms - big enough for three?
2. Do they have a DCL desk at the hotel?
3. If so, did you use the DCL desk at the hotel?
4. How is the luggage handled here? Do you have to cart all of your luggage to the DCL bus for transport to the cruise ship, or do they collect it the night before and merry it up with you on the cruise ship.
Any other info on how this works would be extremely helpful. We are arriving the afternoon before the cruise.

CAMICKEY - 5/08/04 Western. Ready to go now...

Let's see if I can help.........

1) Yes....... the rooms are definitely large enough for three people. We had a king bed and there was plenty of room for a rollaway.

2 & 3) They don't have a DCL desk (at least not that I saw).

4) You tell the front desk you are going on DCL when you check in. You put your DCL luggage tags on your suitcases and leave them in the hall the morning of your cruise (I think by 8:00). They pick them up and take them to the DCL transportation. The next time you see them is in your stateroom on the ship.

They have a nice pool area and the rooms are very quiet.

Hope that helps.

What about:

5) If you stay at MCO Hyatt and have to get to the airport the next day, how do you take your luggage to the airline check in counter?

The MCO Hyatt is in the airport. All you would need to do is go down the elevator to the airport level. Shouldn't take more than about 3 minutes.

Or is that not what you were asking (brain going into weekend mode now)?

Let me rephrase my question:

We have 2 kids and 5 pieces of luggauage, I am wondering how we should take the luggage to the check in counter.

Thanks Outahere. Now I know we do not have to worry about carting our luggage to the bus. Thanks again - CAMICKEY

The bellstaff should be able to help you out. (You will, of course, want to show your appreciation in the form of a gratuity.)

Little Twin Stars - when we stayed at the Hyatt MCO last March we had an early morning flight out on Sunday. We called a bell person to pick up the luggage and he escorted us all the way to our airline check-in counter. He stayed the whole time to handle the bags while we were getting checked-in. Of course we showed our appreciation.

Be sure upon check in to tell them you are a DCL cruise guest, and they will also give you a letter that explains the procedures for taking the bus in the morning.

The staff there is great!

Upon check in just let them know that you are a DCL person and they will give you a letter explaining the procedure for your luggage!

After check out you can go and grab a bite to eat and then you go back to the Hyatt to meet your DCL rep. There they will assign you a "Character" as to which bus you will be taking. Then you have the option of going to see a movie or wait in the lobby area. We opted for the movie, that way we got our docs in order and placed in the "Blue Envelope" ready to give to CM at Check in at Port!

When your character is called, they escort you to the buses. And the next thing you know, you have arrived safe and sound!

We found it very convenient to stay there! I also rented a car for the day to go do some shopping and for going over to AKL for Dinner!

We are planning on staying there again next year!
