Hyatt MCO and Port Arrival Time

I booked MCO Hyatt on my own but a transfer through DCL and got boarding group 3.

Same scenario. And I was up at midnight checking in as soon as it became available. Sucks.

Just to say boarding group 3 is the earliest non-concierge boarding group so that's right. 1&2 are saved for concierge.

If you didn’t book the MCO Hyatt through DCL you (or your TA) need to call DCL to inform them of the Hyatt reservation and book the transfers from the Hyatt lobby. Otherwise you need to go to the airport location (former Magical Express) for your transfers.

Booking the Hyatt one way or the other? Probably not, unless there's a discounted rate through DCL or with the TA.

Booking DCL Transfers from the Hyatt Lobby vs from the former Magical Express location in MCO? YES! Those with transfers booked from the Hyatt Lobby will not need to select a PAT and a low boarding group is automatically assigned. Those taking transfers from MCO will need a PAT and are held to the related boarding group number.

We just took the DCL bus from Hyatt MCO and originally had boarding group 3, but they gave everyone on our bus special cards to get us into boarding group 1. Not sure if this always happens with MCO Hyatt as this was our first time using this method.

Disney was unable to offer us a room at the Hyatt - but through the Hyatt website, I was able to book a room (actually did that before calling Disney). And have already modified the reservation with a lower rate.

After booking the Hyatt, I made transfer reservations. Verification of pick-up is shown in the modified cruise reservation sent in the e-mail (you know, those emails that reflect various changes or payments you make). It is not indicated on your reservation on the website.

Hmmm, we are also staying at MCO and didn’t get a port arrival time until 1145, which is group 9. Last 3 cruises we were in the first few groups. I didn’t really see an option to select MCO as opposed to the airport as the transfer. Did I miss something?

Are you staying at the Hyatt IN MCO? With Disney ground transfer? If so, call DCL to have it changed to Hyatt.

Otherwise, sounds like you are doing the ride from the transportation area on ground floor TERMINAL B.

How come DCL weren't able to get you a room in the Hyatt I thought that was one of Disney's preferred hotels as well as Disney resorts?

I figured they have a set number for booking.

And no idea how pricing compares to booking through Hyatt. Curious, though.

DCL have a set allocation of rooms for all preferred hotels. They can only sell this number and then after that will tell you to try and book direct. I have the same thing in Miami where the EB Hotel is sold out through DCL but can book direct and then book the transfer separately without issue.

You can book it yourself, but your TA will need to contact DCL to add the transfers (if you want transfers).

If you want it at the DCL rate then yes but you can book yourself and then get your TA to add on the transfer from the hotel to the port.
