I stayed here as a kid 25 years ago. Is this place still decent? I remember how amazingly cool the pool was. Id like to go back but afraid I will be disappointed.

We stayed there four nights last summer and enjoyed it. The room was in good shape, fairly recently renovated would be my guess. The common areas of the hotel were a little dull and not really up to standards. On the outside, however, the pool area was really great. One of the best hotel/resort pool areas we have been to - only thing "missing" was a lazy river. Food in the hotel restaurants generally was good. Only real disappointment was the pitch-and-putt golf course that the hotel also has on the grounds. We thought it would be good fun for our 6 yo daughter to play there with one of us adults. But the course was in so bad shape even she didn't enjoy it. Muddy, very uneven greens making putting almost impossible etc. However, hard to really complain about, especially since it was free to use. So all in all I think we got what we paid for

I haven't stayed there but I did go for dinner at Hemingway's a few weeks ago. Didn't spend much time inside the hotel, but the grounds were stunning and the pool is still incredible. I'd love to stay there if I had the chance!
