:confused3 :confused3 Ok, I think he has lost his mind and is going crazy.....anyone agree with me here.....I am on my way out the door to buy a stroller, pretty sure I am getting a Maclaren and he says that he doesn't need a stroller at all (from home or rental)....he said he likes to walk around and won't want to be in the stroller and that it is a waist of money.....I have been to Disney too many times to know that this would be a HUGE mistake.....anybody think he has lost his mind...... :confused3 :confused3 He says that our 26 month old son would like to walk around all day with no stroller and he would be fine :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: ......

NO!!!!

We still needed to put our just 6 year old in an umbrella stroller one trip. It is a TON of walking!

Every child is different, but I know my very active DS couldn't have gone all day without the stroller. We also found it easier to get from one area to another quicker with the stroller. All that walking would be a bit much for a 2 year old and I think he would poop out.

We have a Maclaren stroller and love it. It's small, lightweight, and has a strap for carrying it when it's folded. We bought it specifically for WDW and it was perfect.

No way!
Our DS was 3 and needed one badly-especially for unexpected naps. Unless your DH plans to carry your child-plan on the stroller. Rentals are available at the parks. We plan to have one this trip too :flower:

I just got a stroller for my 4 yr old, and she hasn't been in one for years. We purchased the silver cross micro and I love it. Easy to push, small, georgous colors and it came with a free rain sheild ($109 free shipping, no tax). I'm slightly worried about my 7 yr old pooping out, by DH says no way to that! We'll rent in Epcot for him if need be.

Has your dh been to WDW recently???? I'm taking strollers for both my w and almost 5 yo's and know that we will use them both!! There are times I'd love to crawl into the seat and have someone push me around. (Hee hee!)

Has your DH been to WDW before? Maybe he just doesn't realize the size of the parks. I know I was blown away by the size of EPCOT the first time I went there.
After 4 kids, my DH has learned a lesson......HE insists we bring a stroller whereever we go because he knows that whenever a child gets too tired to walk it will be HIM carrying the kid around! Incidentally, DH is 6'1", lifts weights and has very broad shoulders but he would NEVER consider going to WDW w/o a stroller.
A funny picture just passed through my mind.....you know that thing that happens whenever you try to put a kid down who doesn't want to be put down: They wrap their arms around your neck, hold on for all it's worth, and curl their legs up so that you cannot possibly stand them on the ground, all the while screaming, "No, carry me!" :rotfl:
You can humor him and not buy a stroller but I'll bet after the first day your DH will be running for the stroller rental line!

 Ya gotta wonder what they're thinking sometimes... :confused3
We took our 2 DDs, ages 5 & 8 and were soooo thankful that we rented a stroller. Not only can you put the kids in it, but it's also nice to put your soda bottles/water, etc. into the back pocket.

Definitely bring a stroller!!! I will be taking my stroller with us until the kids can no longer squeeze into it. Your child may want to walk for a little once in a while but not all day-- and if you go in the summer when it's hot and humid.
Tell DH that if your child doesn't want it you can use it push around the diaper bag and anything you buy-- haha:)

We'll be taking a stroller for our granddaughters (6 and 8). Tell dad if he doesn't take the stroller he'll be responsible for carrying one very tired little boy.

Reality check. A stroller is a must unless he wants to carry a toddler for a good portion of the day. At that age I can't see going without.

get the macleren - we had it for our 3 yr old in Sept and she LOVED it. We did get the extra canpoy and also the holder that attaches to the arms - it holds 2 cans, bottled water, sippy cup etc... It also has a mesh bag to hold cameras, wipes, sunscreen etc...

To be honest with you, I prefer a stroller even if dd only stays in it for a little while. It holds everything you need to keep things off your back etc... Our little bag with any valuable fit right below in the mesh under the seat. We would park the stroller on rides and take the bag with us. The stroller also "holds" any balloons and also a place to store souveniers. I just couldn't imagine not having it for my almost 4 yr old this trip. You NEED a stroller - believe me - your boy may walk and walk and walk - but he WILL sit in that stroller everyday at some point. You don't want a meltdown or a sleeping boy being carried - they are heavy!! Plus if it is really crowded, you actually SAVE time pushing him then wandering around with him.

Hope you can sway him - if not, just get rentals when he tires out and look at your husband and said, I told you so!!!!

Sure. Your 2 year old will be fine without a stroller...as long as Daddy is the one that has to carry him when he gets tired or overwhealed by crowds of people. Of course at my house, my son only wants mommy to carry him so you can be sure I'm getting him a stroller before we leave too.

Yeah, I'd say DH needs a reality check.

I even rented a double stroller one day and my (small sized) 10 and 7 yr olds rested their feet. WDW is too much walking for grown ups, just think of someone taking 4 steps to your one. That's alot of miles for small tootsies. I think it will be too much to expect for a little one.

We questioned bringing our Mcaclaren Volo for DS (4 1/2 years old) for our weeklong trip this year. We thought of renting one at night if need be. But the Volo is so lightweight and I usually overpack anyways. Long days in the sun walking around WDW is hard on us adults, I think the kid could use one just in case. Buy one!

Definitely bring the stroller! Good luck and I hope you can convince DH !!!

I can just see your DH carrying your 2 yr old at 10 min into the park. Then DH says to you, how about I rent one of those :moped: electric carts to haul myself and our 2 yr old around. You of course say if our 2 yr old doesn't need a stroller then you do you need a electric cart. :rotfl: :rotfl:

just kidding ya know, tell DH its for his own good to get a stroller
