It sure seems that they had plans on vmk being around for a long time judging by all the new things. (wish I was home to get some). Sure seems like maybe flying carpet will come out yet before its all said and done.

How could disney let this happen? Why did they plan so poorly and let someone else have the controlling interest in vmk, we are the ones that suffer now. The vmk community...us the hosts and staff.

To the OP, I was in Ned's with you this morning when Bella said it was today and tomorrow. It was an hour or so later when I noticed the newsletter said otherwise. Just FYI, you weren't mistaken in what Bella had said!
Half price today only, but maybe she meant those items will be available tomorrow also, but maybe not on sale as they were today? Also, remember she said that was Christmas and that Tiki would remain all week, so I assume she meant the new tiki items will be included in that.

It is like you are here with King and I as we discuss the upcoming closure. The VMK staff and designers did not see this coming, the same as all of us.

These items are so creative and just beautiful. The coolers opening - brilliant! Tiki items with a beach/tiki paradise theme - incredible.

And we are feeling like you, how could Disney have been so short sighted to allow another company to have so much control over this game. I am sure this is a lesson learned for Disney as well. I have a feeling we will not be seeing them "team up" on big projects in the future - even if it is just a "promotion". They know now what Walt always knew - be ready for the unexpected and be ready to change your visions to make them better based on that change.

Well, thank you VMK Staff, for all of your hard work and for still sharing the magic with us even up until our last minute.

I thought it was the other way around; wasn't it Disney who decided to reorganize everything under their own umbrella, and chose not to renew with Sulake?

I wish they would have released ALL of this stuff when they announced to us that VMK would be closing 6 weeks ago.....give us more time to build with them and enjoy them. I would not expect anymore Bella's specials or releases this weekend.

I wish they released them back then and was not expecting this many new releases as well. Like others said, it does appear that VMK designers thought the game was going to continue way past this month.

I'm kind of glad the items are being released this way. I know if VMK was continuing and these were released during the summer, a lot of people (possibly including myself) would be complaining about having another recycled month.
