"Hurry & fly away to Neverland before it's too late!" Trip wrap up page 30

I think Madi has 5 pearls from 4 picks! She has them in a little velvet box - she's not much into jewelry yet - so she wasn't interested in a setting. We have heard the same about picking the ugliest barnacle covered shell to get the best pearls.

That's quite a collection! I'm sorry but fleeting images of Gollum with his "precious" are going through my mind. Michelle never did anything with her pearl. Just picking it and having it seemed to be enough.

Looks like you had a wonderful Mom and Daughter afternoon. I've always wanted to do the pick a pearl too but would never wear it so think it's a waste :rotfl:

It's all about the trill of the hunt. The hope that you've picked the right one.

Great update. I remember how nice the cooler temps were that day. We were at Epcot the same day, but napped during the afternoon rain. (That was the day of the infamous Princess breakfast debacle.)

I'm sure we'll be doing the pearl picking the next time we are there. Looks like a lot of fun.

I thought I commented on your last update:

Belle is beautiful. Call me traditional, but I like her in the Blue Dress better than the yellow ballgown. The blue dress is more girl next door.

Morocco--what a beautiful pavilion and great pix by the way.

Japan--what a great pearl! Great pavilion too..;)

Great Epcot pictures. I love Danielle's tiara.:lovestruc What a sweet momma you are to sacrifice your pick a pearl to Danielle. Make sure you pick yourself a good one in February! My girls didn't get theirs set either, but I'm ordering pearl cages from ebay for Christmas.

You have to take the girls to do this! I know they'll love it!

My oldest daughter want to go to WDW and be Belle. She's her favorite Princess.

Thanks! I try to take lots of pictures here and in Japan. I love all the different colors on the buildings.

She loved her pearl. I went back and looked at it the other day. It's 7mm.

I have a few thoughts on this for our next trip. I'll have to get around Dennis first. Please share where you're finding the cages.

For me it's a toss up between Ariel and Belle...I love red hair.
An excellet point. But our Akershus Ariel had orange skin to match the red hair so it would have been an easier choice. The Voyage of the LM cast member on the hand... Anywho, as for me and myself, well I already found my princess. :thumbsup2

If you do a search for "pearl cages" several come up. They're really inexpensive. Amelia tends to take jewelry off and forget where she's left it so I decided getting her pearl set in anything fancy might be a mistake.

That's a pretty good size.

What is it about men and red heads!:confused3

You're so sweet!

Before I go any farther, I forgot to mention we also picked up a fan in Japan with Danielle's name written in Japanese.

We traveled forth unto Italy. Another country I love to take lots of pictures of.

The crowds were still light and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Of course I would have loved to have caught the World Showcase Players.

We continued on into Germany. I wanted to test out my zoom and micro setting on the train set up.

I think I could look at this for hours and still not see all the details.

I did take some general pictures of the country. Of course we were coming back here for our dinner at Biergarten.

More in next post.

Once we got to China we caught up with Tena and Bailey. They did their thing and we did ours. Bailey took a pictures with Mulan, which I could not get Danielle to do. She was on a quest for another fan and we wanted to get one for Michelle too.

Two more fans purchased and the passport stamped we were ready for a few pictures.

When we got to Norway, I knew I didn't need to take many more pictures. Of course we had to get a picture with the Troll.

And this guy.

We met up with Tena and Bailey did Maelstrom, but we didn't FassPass it.

Still together we hit Mexico.

We had a lovely chat inside the pyramid with the CM who stamps the passports. We went further into the pyramid and Danielle took these of me.

We enjoyed a ride on Grand Fiesta with Donald. This was a real nice break, the heat was now in full force.

With both girls passports completed it was time to head our for our afternoon break. On the way out we headed to Test Track. More cooling off was called for.

Continued. . .

More wet pictures.

We just had to use our FPs before we left. We also grabbed another set for that night. We ended up in a car with someone who had never ridden before. By now we were experts. As we hit the wall to go outside I yelled "Put your arms up!". I meant it for Danielle and Bailey, but the mom and one of the kids did it too.

After our ride we headed out of the park. Once we were back at the resort the girls raced to the room again. This is what we found.

The stuffed animals were removed and we all laid down to rest. Once again Danielle did not fall asleep. Once my rest was done I took her with me to the gift shop. I had more than enough receipts to get my $9.95 backpack with $50 in purchases. While down on that end of the resort I let her play in the pop jets for a while. Boy that water felt good on my tired feet! I didn't bring my camera, but I really wish I had. On the way back to the room as we approached the area right before the bowling pin pool we found our second snake. There were 2 or 3 people already there looking at it. It was the strangest thing. The snake was small and dark brown or black. It was sticking straight our of the hedge and almost didn't look real. It was wasn't moving, just sticking straight up. Of course in WDW you always have to question whether things are real or not. Finally one of the guys decided to test it, he threw something at it. It moved! As we all scampered away as fast as we could. No one wanted to see if it came back out of the bottom of the hedge. I do have to say the guys scampered away faster than we did.

Up next our night at Epcot.

Awesome updates! Loved the World Showcase Photos! We plan to spend much more time here next time around.

I wouldn't have scampered. I'd have broken into a full on gallop. ::yes:: Windows would have been rattling. Walkways would have been vibrating. Parents would have been pulling young children from my path. CM's would have been yelling at my ample posterior as it jiggled by. In short, I don't do snakes. :sad2:

B/F loves that little train set area in Germany! I think it's so neat! You're right, I could spend hours there and not see everything.

I say the same thing after every trip!

The first time my oldest two saw it I almost had to drag them away. They both just wanted to stay and look.

Baylor loves that train in Germany too. He can stand and look for the longest time..........

Can't wait to hear what you thought of Biergarten. We ate there last Spring Break and have our Christmas Eve ADR there on our upcoming trip.

Hopefully I'll have that update up before the end of the weekend. Life just keeps getting in the way. Last night it was Danielle's school choir performance and tonight is dance class. Normally a break for me but it's "oberservation" night. I get to sit through her 2 hour class and watch. :scared1:
