Firstoff, all of us should be praying for the safety of the people in the way of the storm. If you are in the effected areas, PLEASE listen to the officials and follow their instructions to stay SAFE! That said, a more mundane question; If HHI takes a big hit in terms of damages/costs, should we assume that HHI owners could see a jump in MF's? Also if that IS the case, would damage to HHI possibly effect MF's to other DVC owners or is each DVC resort isolated in terms of damage costs from the other?

Each are isolated.

Currently HHI DVC owners are paying extra MF's to pay off the damages from Hurricane Mathew (?) from 2 years ago. The resort had to pay an insurance deductible. The Disney company made a loan to the resort and MF's were going to be impacted for the next 3 years to pay it off. Quite nice of Disney actually, and if I recall it was really a small amount per point increase. Hope they are so lucky this time as well.

It seems HHI has been spared, at least what I see. We are in Hawaii on a ship, so not extensive coverage. We were very lucky in so far as Olivia missed us!

We own HHI and live in NC. We are in Raleigh Durham area and it isn't bad but the wind is starting to pick up and there are some power outages and I assume ours will be out before the day ends.

Anyway, looks like HHI will be spared...thank goodness. Our dues went up 6% the past two years due to Matthew. Typically dues go up about 3% so it was double the norm. I don't want another hit anytime soon. These dues are getting to be a bit high, like Vero.

Thanks. All is well. Just a little wind and rain off an on. Power or Spectrum never went out. We were lucky.
