Hurricane season

After this season of numerous hurricanes, I am planning an Aug. 2006 trip to the world should I be concerned about going to the world during hurricane season.

Yes and No. It's not called 'hurricane season' for no reason, but it's also not a guarantee you'll have problems when you travel. There simply is no way to know what next year might be like, or whether (weather!) your travel dates will be effected.
