OK, the second hurricane in as many weeks is headed our way, so we're deciding whether to stay and sit in our house hoping the roof stays on and the electricity keeps going, or jump in the car and drive who-knows-where to wait it out. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind when I think of heading East is WDW.

This is really under the "Any Excuse To Go" category, but I'm toying with the idea of going. We'd have to leave tonight. Any ideas on what the resorts are going for? And where the best place to get a good last minute deal is? Should we stop at a tourist office for deals?

Just looking for an excuse to visit the mouse!

I haven't been through a hurricane, but based on the latest info, I'd get the heck out of Dodge!!!

I just checked Expedia and All Stars are listed at $99 for tomorrow. I would call Disney and tell them when and why you are thinking of coming. They may have unused blocks of discounted rooms or a specific resort that needs more people in it. It doesn't hurt to ask.

Good luck getting away from the storm wherever you go. I hope all is well when you return home.

My family is looking to leave, we have reservatios in memphis, but DW sure would be fun, and we have a good excuse to go

If you are planning on arriving on the same day. Call the resort front desk directly. They would usually reduce their rates to get sell outs. I would go believe me in Fla all of S Fla evacuates to WDW when they get to close.

I'm with you Tigger! I'm also in New Orleans and have those AP vouchers just screaming to be validated!! Good luck to you if you go. I don't think we're going anywhere, but it is very tempting!!!

Get the heck outta Dodge!!! It's at 140mph now and you know La. (or any of the Gulf Coast) is not the place to be.

We were at WDW while Hurricane Georges was rearranging our town in the Keys (including our house & most of my trees). It wasn't a fun trip but it was much easier on the kids.

I live north of Galveston and we are hoping the hurricane doesn't turn and come this way. It really is a hard thing to hope though because I really hate that ya'll might have to go through it again.

Let's just thing DISNEY!

Good Luck!

Hi Kelly..Im in Pearland I'm hoping it doesnt come here but some school aged children (I wont name names) are hoping it comes close enough for school to be closed. We just got back from Disney last Sunday and the week we left Isidore was thrying to decide where it was going to hit. I got lucky it didnt come here and it didnt go to disney. Hope our luck holds out!
