Hurricane RITA??????

Watching CNN this morning, and am shocked there isnt more discussion on this board about this hurricane. Didnt the govenor of florida order an evacuation?

Are they closing the parks?

It isn't a very strong storm, it is only a Cat 1, and is going south of the state through the keys. It will have no effect at all on Orlando. The only thing being evacuated is the keys. There is no discussion of this storm on here because as far as Disney is concerned it is a non issue. I am here in Broward County (South Florida). We are only going to get the tail end of the storm here. Orlando is another 200 miles north of here.

I live in Osceola County and work in Orange County. (WDW property is in both counties.) Rita's effects has only been increased scattered thunderstorms and showers with gusty winds today. Conditions are expected to improve tomorrow.
