Any thoughts on where they might divert to IF hurricane Isabel is whipping around the Bahamas?
I know we would not go into dangerous waters BUT it might be tough to get around it.
One other question about that musty old maritime law, where we HAVE to go to a foriegn port. Will the Wonder have to stop somewhere else for a port or could we just end up in Key West or Miami.
Sorry but just watched tropical update on the weather channel and it dont look too good:( :( :( :(

PS: and her buddy JUAN is not making me happy either:mad:

I believe that the agency in charge of enforcing the 1880's Passenger Services Act makes exceptions in cases where weather forces a diversion from foreign ports.

Last year, an NCL ship doing a Hawaiian itinerary was allowed to cancel their call to Fanning Island after they lost time making a rescue at sea.

The Magic has been extremely fortunate so far this year. They've been on the Eastern on cruises where there's a storm in the Western Caribbean or the Gulf of Mexico. And they've been on the Western when there's been a storm threatening the Eastern Caribbean.

This week they are on the Eastern, and Isabel is out there on a track to possibly hit the Windward Islands. It's likely to be a couple days before these islands would be hit, if at all. They might substitute San Juan for either St. Maarten or St. Thomas. We'll see.
