Hurricane Kay - Baja/Southern California

Hello everyone, I've been reading that Hurricane Kay has caused the deaths of some people in Baja and the Pacific Coast: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...ne-Kay-weakens-leaves-strong-rains-winds.html
Does anyone have any experience sailing in this area during hurricane season? Our cruise is next month, and I know DCL will do a good job monitoring activity and rerouting us if needed. Fingers crossed no more storms form in this area!

Considering this is the first hurricane to affect Southern CA in nearly 25 years, it seems likely that you have nothing to worry about. Worst case, your Baja stop is cancelled and you just sail out to sea and back. They won't sail you directly into a hurricane.
