Hurricane Jeanne changed my plans and DW is not being helpful!!!

I am on hold w/Disney right now and I am so angry! Jetblue cancelled my Monday am flight - I had a feeling that was going to happen and called DW last night and was told no availability anywhere for 10/4, so we didn't do anything!!! Now that my flight has been cxled, I have no choice, I am back on w/Disney and find out, yes - there's room, but not at my package rate. When I explain that my flight has been cancelled and I can't get there till the next day(all remaining flights on 9/27 booked) why can't my package just begin 9/28 instead of 9/27 with departure 10/5, CM tells me she needs to see if guest relations can override the computer. I'm on hold now for over 30 minutes - husband has already changed our flights w/Jetblue in this time that I've been on hold. So what's Disney going to do, make me keep my 9/27 check-in, even tho I won't be there, to keep my package rate and charge me rack rate for the last night???? Ok, I"m thinking, I can deal with that, just put me at a value resort for that last night, but now CM is nowhere to be found!!!! 35 min and waiting, and waiting... Sorry for the vent, but this is crazy!!!
 
Sorry for the rant! CM came back on and they did the override. Got my package changed to a day later in and out. DW and everyone in Orlando please accept my apologies. I will say prayers for your safety!!!
 
lol, when you said DW i thought you meant Disney Wife!
 

Glad it all worked out. I guess everybody's nerves are just stretched thin after all these bouts with Mother Nature.
 
sillysully...I'm in Boston too and yesterday when is aw that it looked like things were changing fast I changed my AA flight to Wed as soon as Disney announced it would waive cancellation fees. Now we are at the GF for 3 nights instead of 5 nights at another resort.

Soo, does anyone have any experience staying at the GF? What Lodge should I request, good location etc? I booked a Garden View room because even with the AZU discount lagoon rooms are $310 a ngt plux tx and I could not bring myself to go that high this time.

I was at the Poly, had to change that and finally decided it was time to at least give the GF a try as I would probably not stay there for more than a weekend anyway and this code has not been available there or at the BC/YC - sold out fast.

sillysully, now you can relax and enjoy!! When do you leave now - the 28th? Do you have a confirmed flight with seat assignments? There were no seats on AA for the non-stop (one at day in the a.m.) on the 28th:( At least we are still going!!
 
BaciBecky - We're from Danvers, actually. We have confirmed seats on a 9/28 early am flight on Jetblue. I'm so glad we're flying them - they have been very responsive. I'm sure you'll love the GF! Enjoy your vacation. Now I have an extra day to pack :D

We are up in Beverly all the time - have friends there..and do you know the Carmelite Monastery in Danvers??

Jetblue is usually the best, but wonder why they cannot squeeze you in before the 1st.

I checked with AA (by the way, fare of $115 rd trp) and she said I could go on Tuesday but I could only change to the same non-stop (one a day on aa) and she could book it but no seat assignments were available, so rather than take a chance on getting bumped and losing a pd night at the resort, decided to be safe and go Wed. No fee to change on AA or with Disney to drop 2 nights. Also changed resorts - now at GF. Where are you staying?

Yep, more days to organize and pack , only for me less to pack!! ;)

I'm so glad everything worked out for you! We also rescheduled from a 9/27 arrival to a 9/28 and everyone was great! AirTran is waiving the rate change and the rescheduling charges, The Poly is honoring my package rate. I was very concerned because WDW travel wouldn't change my ressie because we booked thru Small World Travel, and they said the Travel Agent needed to call in the change. I thought great, it's Saturday afteroon-who's going to be working now. I called Small World's 800 # and my agent Jodie called me back within 5 minutes!!! They have been a joy to work with by the way.

The whole process of changing the air, Poly ressie, Towncar, babysitters, petsitters, Priority Seatings, etc. was such hassle, but it pales in comparison to what the Florida Residents are going thru-my thoughts and prayers are with them.
