Hurricane issues...

Something I've always worried being in a tent is hurricanes. I understand that Disney puts campers up in other hotels, but at who's expense? My budget is veeeeeeeeeeery tight when we're at Disney, just about every penny is spoken for, and the thought of having to cough up loads more money to stay in a hotel makes me :scared:. And before you ask, I'm credit card free, thank you very much.

Fortunately, we got caught only once (Bonnie and Clyde... I mean Charlie or whoever he was) in 9 years, but we decided to leave because it was only going to cut our trip short by one day.

So do I need to stash extra money just in case?

Oy, there's always SOMETHING to worry about.

Thanks,
Rose

Not sure but I think you pay a reduced rate but still have to pay.My take on it ...Never go on any trip with NO contingency fund. If things are that tight then you need to rethink your plans.I am not flaming you.But seriously anything can happen at anytime and without some sort of emergency fund you are kind of stuck.

Now you can go to a public shelter at no charge. And Disney operates some of those. Rare if you would be there for more than one night.

If space is available I believe Disney would move you to a resort room at no extra charge. Otherwise you would be entitled to a refund of the campground fee for the night(s) you could not be there.
