Hunters Creek is right on the Osceola and Orange county lines....Kissimmee is just about 5 miles away and downtown Orlando is about 15 miles away. BOTH of those locations are getting HAMMERED really hard right now. We are getting probably 30 to 40 mph winds and an occasional higher gust. No rain at the moment. There is a news reporter on TV now down in Kissimmee that just got blown off his feet! Each time an outer band rolls in we seem to be in the middle of where there is not much happeneing. Daytona Beach is getting ripped apart....

I can look out my windows and see the 417 Tollway.....no cars....street lights are swaying, signs are bending over but that's it. No damage that I can see so far. There is probably a little but I don't think it's bad. But just a few miles down the road it's another war zone!

I just want the power and cable to hold on so I can see Tennessee play football on ESPN tonight!!!!!!

Stay safe, we are all keeping you in our thoughts and prayers...Hope you can keep your power and cable, LOL!

Stay Safe and Pixie Dust that the power stays on!

BTW, thanks for the update.

How is Frances compared to Charley? I suspect it's a bit scarier since your can see what's going on this morning. I was at WDW for Charley and it was pretty dark by the time the hurricane came through.

I am watching the live hurricane coverage from Channel 9 WFTV(http://www.wftv.com/index.html) online. They said the Northern eye id coming your way and they expect the Orlando and Kissimmee areas will lose power soon.

I just want the power and cable to hold on so I can see Tennessee play football on ESPN tonight!!!!!!
LOL! I feel your pain. The Cubs series this weekend in Tampa was cancelled. No baseball for 3 days and the Giants are creeping up on us! I had to comfort myself with yesterday's Wisconsin Badger's football game. The Badgers beat Central Florida University (from Orlando), 34-6.

Thanks for your first-hand update. I hope you stay safe (and are able to watch the game :)).

Tony,

Keep us posted. Haven't heard from Pete for a few hours. Hope he still has power.

thanks for the update!

Thanks for the update, Tony and please stay safe!!

Thanks for the update Tony. I hope that Poinciana doesn't get hit too hard, there are still many people there and in areas of Kissimmee that haven't recovered from Charley yet.

Thanks for the update. I'm glad your safe.

AngieBelle is at MetalMasterC's house now.(I IMed her on Friday.) I'm sure they're among the 4 million homes without power now.

Oh, and Go Vols tonight!:D
