YAY!!!!!!!!!! Just found out from an email from Jaki that we passed ROFR!!! So we are going to be closing on our BWV resale in roughly 3 weeks or so. This feels so good!!! I can wait for closing, just knowing Disney approved us!

So we are soon to be official DVC members! Ooh, someone ask me, someone ask me....."Bonnie, Disney just approved your purchase, what are you going to do?" Reply: "I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The only trouble is...our first trip home will be in July 2010!!! So I have to wait 11 more months until I can book it! Oh well...now I will be counting down 11 months until we book, and then at that point 11 months until we go. Ahh, it doesn't matter that the next trip is almost 2 years away...we are going to be members in the next few weeks!!!!!

We sent our wire and signed closing papers Friday--had passed ROFR about 10 days prior and the closing papers popped up in an email Thursday.

(apologies if wrong person) - if it is you - I knew you would buy at any moment. DVC is addictive if you love WDW. Come to think of it, so is the disboard.

Congratulations and enjoy all the planning. The planning and waiting is one of the best part of the actual vacation itself.

Congradulations Bonnie!!! The biggest hurdle is done now, right?

I will be watching to see how fast your process is from ROFR to the next stage, because I am one step behind you (still waiting to pass rofr), but dont really know how the next part works. I hope you will keep posting your progress as it helps others! (maybe Belle&Ariel would post her timeline so far too - I think we all have the same broker in common )

If we get past rofr, and sucessful in the next stages (I worry about the seller changing their mind - oh no!) our first trip home will be in 11 months, so I am with you on the waiting thing! I love disney planning though, so as long as there is a trip in the works, I am good to go :>)

I am also waiting on closing for my BWV contract. Just sent final docs and payment on Friday! Cannot wait to be in the DVC system so that we can book our first DVC vacation(hopefully DLand Hotel in Feb 2009). And then, like you, our first visit home in July 2010.

Yes, that was me!!! I asked a ton of questions and everyone here was nice enough to answer them! So thank you to everyone who helped in our decision to purchase!

It's funny, how we were originally hoping to purchase in the spring. My, how quickly things change!! We just couldn't pass it up and wait 7 more months. We were also afraid that the price would go up even on resales after Disney starts selling BLT contracts, and we had no idea exactly how soon that may be. So we locked it in now! Don't think the prices of resales will be any lower than they are right now.

Wow, now I am counting down until August when we book our July 2010 trip! Although, I do my best to try not to wish our lives away all the time, but I can't help it, I'm a teacher (always have an "end" in sight with the next holiday or school break so counting down for us is natural).

Oh and yes, WDW is addictive. Can't think of any other place I would want to go to over and over again and never get bored (so much to see and do that interests us, we really need multiple trips to take it all in!). And yes, these boards are so addictive too! Nice people who offer insight, and I also find myself offering a little help to people regarding things we experienced this past July. Love it here!!
