I am going to Disney September 20-27 and well i dont want there to be a hurricane while we were there! the two dont mix! nyways i was wondering if u guys have any idea if there will be one during this time. nyways thx in advance!

I think most warnings start coming in a few days before landfall. If there are going to be any hurricanes, there's a high chance they haven't even formed yet. Good luck, though!

well i have never gone for a HURRICANE, but whenever theres a really really bad storm.. i always shop and eat...

Trust me! i Know!

I missed my first day of 10th grade because of a Hurricane in 2004!! We had to stay 3 extra days because flights were cancelled (not that I'm complaining!! But non of the parks were open) but they had characters at the hotel and stuff and lots of games to keep kids entertained.

Hope you don't caught in a Hurricane!!!

This trip Hurricane Faye was going on....it didnt hit Orlando, but it rained for 3 days straight---wasn't too bad though if you can stick it out during the rain...NO crowds!

Yep, the rain tends to scare away the crowds.
We were being hit by Gustav's outer bands the other day, but it was nothing. Just a little rain and thunder. Hanna, on the other hand, may be coming for us. Right now the track is going straight up the east coast of FL, but it could change.

Here's an update:
Apparently this formed this morning. It's very far southeast of Florida, though. This hurricane tracker updates every few hours. Put it in your favorites and check to see if anything comes up.

Well, think of it this way:

If you die, you die at WDW! What better way rite? XD

If you get rained into the Japanese Pavillion, you have a better chance of getting a kimono :p.

If it's only raining enough to cause people to start to leave, it may end soon. Wait it out. Besides, the lines will be shorter and you can do some indoor rides.

If you can't go to that parks, your parents may schedule a return trip :p.

im gonna be there sept.16-30 and i dont want no hurricanes either:scared: :sad2:

Down here, hurricanes don't really form near the end of September. (well, they do but they usually fizzle out before getting close) It's mostly August and maybe early September that we have some potential hurricanes/bad tropical storms. Hopefully your trips will be great. :3

We'll be in WDW 9/21-9/27, our first family trip to Disney. Hope the hurricanes are done by then.

We went 8/15-8/21 (like Caitlin, during Fay).

Rained for 3 straight days, but ZERO crowds at AK! :woohoo:

They just spotted two more hurricanes. Lovely.

when we went in 96' there was a hurricane and we had to land in Fort Lauderdale instead of Orlando and I remember all the roads and toll booths were abandoned, and it was raining so hard we had to stop on the side of the road.

yeah i don't remember what yr it was (MIGHT've been '96) but we were in Florida during Hurricane Andrew (which they called the storm of the century) it was crazy scary!! I was like 5 or 7 or something like that.

Our car windows were broken, there was TONS of marine life dead in the condo pool (sad sad) chairs through windows!!

We were in disney once durring Huricane Francis.
:/ NOT FUN.

You are Litteraly held hostage in your room for a whole day.

yeah man!
and they had shows on different channels but it was the same movie 24/7 on each channel. i swear i watched ella enchanted more times than any person should EVER watch ella enchanted.
i think they had monsters inc too...and like brother bear or something like that!!

it was crazy boring to be stuck in the hotel for like 2 days!

I wasn't around then but I'm pretty sure it was '92. I may be wrong.
But yeah, it definitely sounded horrible. :sad2: That's so sad about the marine life. :(

That would scare me so bad. I think I would be scarred for life.
Luckily [knock on wood] we haven't had any really bad hurricanes come through here [besides Charley, which actually hit us pretty hard] since Andrew.

Well......Ike is coming through next weekend and josophina is not really going to be a hurricane cause it is disappearing!:thumbsup2
