We currently have 3 Hunter fans in the house. They are a few years old. 2 stopped working, trying to prevent other from not working and have 1 that has never been put up.
We looked in the past for new switches but have found that on the old fans the "brains" are up in the column/piece that attaches to the ceiling. The "brains" need to be taken out cos now the new switches have the "brains" in the switch and no longer in the other end.
Electrician doesnt know if it's the fan or the switch. Will find out in the morn. Also have an outlet that doesnt work in either plug.

Are you asking a question???

I would still get the septic pumped before I worried about ceiling fans.

Good luck. Whatever he finds it out to be, I hope he doesn't charge you too much.

(Did I just stereotype?..... I did!..... I insinuated that electricians charge lots of money. I apologize and did not mean to offend any electrician or relative of an electrician. I really didn't mean it to sound the way it came out. Gosh! Maybe I should just delete my response...... NAH!)

I really do wish you luck, ImgoingtoDisney. We had electric work done this past summer (including the installation of a fan which I believe was a Hunter too) and they did excellent work and were very reasonable too.

Tsk, Tsk, Tulirose..... why would you assume the electician is a "he"? I'm calling the PC police!

My dh is an electrician and when he does side jobs he charges $20 an hour..... is that a lot?
