Sorry for leaving everyone hanging. I'm here and back with more pictures and food. Continuing our adventures at Downtown Disney...
At Goofy's Candy Company we made our own cookies. Both of us had chocolate cookies with peanut butter filling. DH had his covered with milk chocolate, Reese's Pieces, and Butterfingers (pictured above). Mine was with dark chocolate, Reese's Pieces, and caramel. If you like sweets Goofy's make your own candy is a must try. It was our favorite use of a snack credit all week. Plus there's no way you could eat all this in one sitting, our snack lasted us the rest of the week.
We walked towards the Pleasure Island section and stopped into Cooke's of Dublin to see if we could get a D'oh Bar (we hadn't eaten any of our cookie yet, we're not total sugar fiends!) but they were sold out. We decided to head next door to have a pint at Raglan Road.
I decided to try some Strongbow Cider while DH had the Bodington's and New Castle. The prices of drinks here would be steep practically anywhere else at $6.50 a pint but are actually quite reasonable for Disney considering you also get the entertainment of an Irish stepdancer and a live band. We have decided Raglan Road is a must visit for food next time we go to Disney as even the bar food looked divine.
Walking a little past Raglan Road we came across a small cigar shop and bar called Sosa's. Neither DH or I are smokers but DH decided he wanted to smoke a cigar in celebration of our nuptials . Smoking in a bar is a novelty to us as this hasn't been allowed in Massachusetts in the past several years. DH picked out a cheap $5 cigar but the options for cigars ran from cheap to $100+. If you want to get away from children, Sosa's may be the last outpost at DTD to do so. I don't think children are prohibited-- one family did briefly step in-- but very few parents would want to subject their children to a smoke filled bar. For the quietness alone we did appreciate Sosa's.
