Looking at the new menu - I don't see that there is a veggie burger option - I'm sure there used to be - is this still available? DD doesn't 'do' salads!

It was reported on the Disney Parks Blog that the veggie burger option is still available at the Hungry Bear - it's just not on the menu.

I hope so, as my son-in-law is vegan and that burger was vegan.

Pretty much place that has a burger has the veggie burger, whether it is on the menu or not.

Well, I have to recommend the fried green tomato sandwich. It is very tasty. :thumbsup2

I tried the fried green tomato sandwich last week with a side of onion rings. It wasn't quite what I was craving (I'm not a vegetarian), but I wanted to try the new menu item. It had good flavor but I think I'll go for a burger next time instead. If I was a vegetarian I'd probably be quite happy with it though ;) I really enjoyed the "zesty slaw" or whatever they called it.

By the way, it was really nice to eat at Hungry Bear overlooking the water. Since Splash is still closed, Critter Country was almost a ghost town. When I went there at 6:30 PM there were only 5 other tables seated at the whole place - it was really relaxing!

Great that was what I was hoping for - a quiet relaxing meal. DD will go for the veggie burger but I want to try out the green tomato sandwich with the sweet potato fries - it will be nice to try out something different in the park.
