Hungry Bear F! Package help

How are these going lately? We're going mid-October and I really want an area we can be in for Fantasmic. Last time we saw it, I did standing room only. And even though we fought for front row, it really sucked standing for 30 mins in line, 60 mins in the spot, and then another 30 for the show. LAME!

Are they releasing October packages yet? I still have a few weeks till the actual dining reservation calendar window comes up, but I dont' want to miss it. The other question is if this is a hard reservation to get, getting up at 6am and trying to hit it before everyone else. It's starting to get like the WDW madness.

It's a great option at a not too terrible price point, and being able to sit down (even on the ground) is so nice. Reservations are released 60 days out. They don't go in seconds, like other reservations do, but I've been stalking a bit for my October trip, and I've noticed they are definitely going faster after Labor Day, since F! will only be showing on weekends.

This was back in 2017-18. They were offering FP for F!, which I thought I was doing good getting. When they did that for WoC, it was like a blue and yellow pass I think. But then they nailed me when I got a F! pass for the family...and then only the packages got to sit. For years, it was about getting there 5 hours early and getting a blanket out. Then it was FP for like 2 minutes. Then the FP became jokes.

Ahhhh... I understand. So it was the FP section that was standing. That sounds so brutal. We do the dining packages for the seat on the ground, which I realize is tough for some people but I'd much rather sit than stand!
