I just finished posting hundreds of photos from our 04/23 Western Magic cruise. I put them up mainly for family members to virtually share our trip but figure some of you might like to share in our obsessiveness as well.

For those with short attention spans I put all of the best photos into a "highlights" gallery which you can find here (note, there are 4 total pages):
Highlights Gallery

Now if you want all the detail (there are over 400 pictures) I've got day-by-day albums set up here (some days have multiple pages):
Day by Day Albums

Happy viewing.

Wow... those are amazing!!!

Less than a week to go for me to see it in person!!

Thanks!

Debbie

Wow! Those were great. I'll have to go back and look at the 400 tomorrow! Those are the best underwater pics I have ever seen. And the cat pics were great too.

How did you get internet connection in your room? That's what it looks like anyways....maybe I'm wrong?

Great Pics! Thanks for sharing them!
We were on the same Captain Marvins tour with you. We had the baby with us and my son got a stingray "kiss". Poor kid still has the bruise on his leg.

Your underwater pics are FANTASTIC. What kind of camera/film did you use to take those?

These photos are soooo great. Thank you for taking the time to share them and more importantly to organize them the way you have with thumbnail previews, etc. The captions are GREAT. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

PS: Nice choice in cars. I have a Passat, too - V6+4Mo and my DW has a V6 Touareg. :goodvibes

PPS: Good move in blocking out the URL for your home webcam. You wouldn't want us nosey DIS'ers peeping in your house. :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Thanks for the kind words, everyone! I've looked at all of your pictures for so long its nice to give back.

KyCruisinSusan: Your underwater pics are FANTASTIC. What kind of camera/film did you use to take those?

Thanks Susan. All of the underwater pictures were taken with a Canon S410 digital camera in an underwater housing made specifically for that model camera (the canon WP-DC800 )

Stimpy: We were on the same Captain Marvins tour with you.

Oh yeah! I remember you guys. I actually have a picture that your family is in. I showed it to a friend of mine who's having his first child in a few weeks because he's under the impression that once you have a baby, cruising is out! :) Sorry to hear about your son. Was that from one of the stingray's mouths or stingers? What did you think about the Captain Marvins trip overall?

pppiglet: How did you get internet connection in your room?
That wire you see is the charger not an internet connection. I WISH you could get access in your stateroom. I was just looking up info I had saved to my hard drive before the trip.

StuartMI: Thanks. I find the gallery software I use to be pretty capable. Here's to the VW owners! No joke about the webcam URL! I almost forgot and left it in there. Trust me, you don't want to catch me walking to the kitchen to get my coffee in the morning! :earseek:

I sent the link to DH with your pics and the first thing he said was "That was the guy with the really cool underwater digitial camera we were looking at!" LOL

DS was "sucked" on his leg by the stingray when the man was holding the ray up for DS to hold it. DS is generally fearless and feels no pain so when he screamed, I knew it hurt him alot. He is extremely thin and pale so I guess the ray thought his leg was a big piece of squid LOL We had been telling him for months that the stingrays won't hurt him, they are extremely gentle etc. Of course, after making sure he was ok and everything, the first thing to go through my mind is that this kid is never going to believe us again  He did get back in the water but screeched and laughed everytime another came near. He was fine, just had a big bruise and a great story to tell his friends.

We really liked the trip. Probably because it wasn't crowded at all and we could bring the kids. DCL wouldn't let us bring the baby on their excursions. We've been snorkeling a few times before but we aren't experts so Captain Marvins was great for us. What did you and your DW think about it?

Would you mind if I copied a few of your pics? There were 2-3 really good ones of DS and DH. Since we only had a disposable camera we really didn't get too many good ones.

Thanks again for sharing them!

I just looked at all of your pictures. THey are great! Thanks for sharing. I am ready to go now, how many more months til Dec? :sunny:

Wow, I could sit and look at your pictures forever. Loved them. I just got off the Wonder and booked our first 7 day for next June. So I was particularly interested in your Cozumel day...can you tell me, how did you like Chankanaab? How much for a taxi and do you pay per person (we have 5)? Is it worth a whole day there and what exactly did you do, swim for awhile, then go shopping? Did you just happen upon that restaurant and how was the food? Thanks again, I'd love to know more tips on Cozumel! Jill

Thank you for sharing, the pictures are wonderful. You are a great photographer! Are you happy with your Canon underwater housing? I've been thinking about it for 2 years and still haven't decided. But time after time when our disposable underwater camera pictures come back blurry or too low light, I kick myself for not getting the housing!

Your pictures are awesome . . . I have two questions:

1. I've been on the Magic twice before and have NEVER seen those chairs on Deck 9 -- picture 93 where she is chillin w/ the ipod. Can you tell me where she was?

2. What was up with Graduation Mickey? Was that something special you guys did or were they just walking around like that? I've never seen those outfits, either.

I leave in 2 days for our Repo cruise. . . Still packing.

Those chairs are located on Deck 9 right outside of the Cove Cafe...they are very comfy.

Fabulous, fabulous pictures! And a very nice one of our fav Palo server, Eleanora!

Thanks so much for sharing! :flower:

Wow....great pictures!! Thanks for sharing with us.

Just a question from a first time cruiser. Does DCL have a photo album to buy so that we can put all our own pictures into it? If so, how much?

Thanks,
Nancy :)
