A friend recommended this forum. I've enjoyed all the valuable information regarding Universal Orlando. Arriving with my family of 5 (kids 13, 11, 10) on 6/12/16 staying for 3 nights @ROYAL Pacific.

I originally saw a site that said Hulk was reopening 6/6 but now it says 7/2. Any inside info out there regarding a possible date? If 7/2, does anyone think they will have a soft opening for some testing the week of 6/12?

Also, same thing for Skull Island. Hoping there is a chance they would be doing a soft opening to get the kinks out and allow riders to board for a period of time while we are there.

Appreciate any insider knowledge. Thanks.

Nothing has been announced at all. That must be an educated guess for them.

I've been reading over on Orlando United which is usually really good for stuff like that and they haven't ventured a guess yet. They do say that there is a much stronger possibility of softs the end of this week at Kong, but there is nothing definite.

Yep, I saw that at touring plans and OU forums. But with nothing official all bets are off.

They did submit a teaser yesterday though.... That means an announcement should.. Well no, Will hopefully be made soon.

Bummer. This was the #1 ride my 13-yo wanted to go on. Having never been to Universal before, hoping there is plenty of other attractions to keep him busy and excited!!

We are arriving Sunday 6/12 from Savannah. Won't get to the park until about 4PM.

Anyone recommend best option for 4-8pm in the parks? Early Opening at Potter IOA next morning, so better to just head to USF Diagon Alley and focus on that in the evening? Less crowded?

My son has finally been pulled for the Hulk ride as he applied way back in Feb for full time employment. He's leaving Rocket and he has said that no date has been set for the opening of Hulk so it really is a waiting game.

Not sure if I should look elsewhere but asking here - does anyone know if the new ride vehicles will allow for shorter peeps to ride? Or will it still be 54" tall?

Every B&M coaster in the world (I think) has a 54" height requirement. The inverted's like Dragon Challenge, the flyers like Manta, the floorless like Kraken, the speed coasters like Mako, Winged coasters, vertical drop coasters, stand up coasters. They all have a 54" height requirement.

They are testing without a clue to when they are opening. From what I understand still a lot to be done with the ride, queue, landscaping, training, hiring etc.

Am I t

Am I the only one missing the roar of the coaster? I always loved the sound the Huk made.
The roar will most likely still be there. You can kind of hear it in the video in a couple of clips, but the camera really picks up on the audio from POE. I've heard the attraction has to cycle 10,000 times before they can have any human passengers, so it's possible we'll see it testing for quite some time before guests will be able to actually ride.
